Why do people see politics everywhere?

I live in California; Live in a red county in a blue state. It's comical. Every day I hear complaints about people wanting to leave California because of the laws or the politics or because it's "too damn restrictive" and I wake up step outside of my house and... I don't feel any of this.

I like Taylor Swift. I could care less about her poiltics. I could care less if she's banging a black dude or not. I could care less if she has a black dude in her video or not. I just don't fucking care.
