If you paid me $350 to see Celine Dion I still wouldn't go.

CaptainHowdy 10-12-2019 05:40 AM

I wouldn't marry someone who likes Celine Dion . . .

fuzebox 10-12-2019 11:10 AM

Celine Dion is amazing, and $350 is basically what good concerts cost now.

no way I'd pay $350 to see someone live - unless some meet & greet would be involved or anything that makes it super special

I once paid $200 for a concert but that was for VIP with a couple perks - but overall not worth it and wouldn't do it again.

went to a concert last week - it was $35 - and one of the best and most entertaining concerts I have ever been to. Not a question of money.

Ferus 10-12-2019 12:15 PM

If she really likes Celine Dion, then go for it. Its only $350 - she could have a lifetime experiance. Do it for her - think with your heart not your brain.

If you end up going, and you think the show is terrible, then keep it to yourself - let her enjoy it. Life dont grant you many chances to buy happines like that.

Scott McD 10-12-2019 02:28 PM

My wife came home 2 days ago and told me her and her mom bought tickets for Celine here at a cost of £225 per ticket.

It's not as if it's even front section seats.

I basically told her "don't even tell me anymore".

I think she got the message...

Why work hard making money if you don't spend it on the things that make you and loved ones happy...

No, by any chance, because:

1. I don't like her
2. I don't like her music
3. For that kind of money (2x350) I could have a luxurious dinner for two in the best restaurant in this country, enjoy 2 bottles of great Champagne and have a nice limo with a driver for the event.. instead of listening to some old overrated lady singing her 20 year old shitty soup-opera songs for ugly fat women

or enjoy 3 nights in one of the best local mountain wellness hotels , all inclusive...

In fact, I would not pay more than $80 per person for her concert. No matter what.

Brian mike 10-12-2019 04:57 PM

So i have a chat with her about if she heard about Celine Dion Tour coming to the City ( OF COURSE SHES AWARE OF IT :1orglaugh )

I ask her to have a look and find out how much is the Tickets etc..
She get back to me 25 minutes later telling me :1orglaugh .... She would not pay that much to see her. I ask how Much ? She replied Forget about it.

So Problem Solved :1orglaugh

NALEM 10-13-2019 12:23 AM

IMHO Brian, either your lady knows the value of money and doesn't want to waste it, or knows you're a cheap ass and she does not want to invest the emotional time in trying to convince you to buy overpriced tickets.

Either way, congratulations, you've got a good woman.

I suggest that you surprise her. Buy the best seats you can afford, and take her out for dinner. The shared moments together at an event like that will leave a positive momery for years to come.

You and Rochard needs to understand, its not about what YOU want. Sometimes you do something for your wife out of love

It stiff price just for a show IMHO, but like you said if there were some perks involved dinner etc.. that would make more sense to me to spend that much.

Again, its not about you or your wife. It's about doing something nice to someone else, because they would enjoy it.

No you ignorant simpelton, its not "$350 for Celine" - its "$350 for whatever the fuck your wife love no matter what you think of it, because you do it for HER, not yourself"

If you cant spend $350 on your wife on something she love, you REALLY need to rethink how you invest in your relationship.
