If I remember good, when I was enabling them, https was necessary.

Seems these days every second or third website pops up a (Firefox) dialog asking if I'll allow notifications... that's what we're talking about, right?

And what sucks even more is that the choices are:

1. Yes
2. Not Now

How about NO. Dark UI.

Push requires HTTPS. A non-https site will do an in-browser slider that opens a new HTTPS window and then triggers the push request.

these ones work with HTTP:

REALPUSH

DAOPUSH

ZPUSH

Exoclick gives you the option for hosted and direct. Hosted does not require https and direct does IIRC.

Direct - The notification appears to come from your domain

Hosted - They get sent from Exoclicks domain

You should be able to throw up the hosted push notification without https, otherwise just get a free SSL and use the direct one if its necessary for it to come from your domain.

I use Squren.com for my Push. They pay the highest per click for Tier 1 traffic (US, UK, AU and CA).

Basically, Pushy ads offer push notification for Http sites I don't really know about Exoclick, but it not the same implantation like Https - the difference is only on how many clicks the users need to goes through.. Http push looks like Pop that opens in a new page
