Video Format USB...
I am putting some vids on a stick for a friend - She wants to watch them from her DVD players USB port - Is MP4 ok for those? - I have never used one...
|
if she´s watching it from a dvd player, the video needs to be in a dvd format which is mpeg2.
However, you´re saying she´s playing it from her usb port in the dvd player, i take it you mean direct to her tv, which logically should be ok... suck it and see, try it out and if it doesn´t work, convert it to mpeg2 on an editor :thumbsup |
Have them send you the exact make and model number. Example (Made up) Say its a Sony XYZ123-B - Then look at it online.
It should say, "Plays .MP4 .MPG2 .MKV files via USB port' etc. |
Typically the DVD player has to be DivX ready.
At least in past years.. I would download and play .avi files through a USB port on my DivX DVD player. Perhaps newer players offer more compatibility. But I bought one last year with a USB port and it wouldn't play most video compressions. |
