Holy shit that dog is huge. I would love to get a mastiff but after having 2 German Shepherds and replacing my floors and part of my backyard twice I'm done with big dogs lol

We have a chihuahua and she is for sure my sons dog.

She insists on taking him to school in the morning. She also loves to go get him.

If you ask her " Where's the Boy " or Where's your boy " She goes nuts squeeling and rolling around and barking.. Otherwise she is a very very quiet dog. and unlike most she is friendly.

It's all fun and games until it eats the other kid.

You're lucky - my GSDs were 110lbs and could dig a 3-4ft deep hole in minutes flat. They were unbelievable diggers. My buddy has a huge mastiff, and if he comes up to you after it drinks it's like you been slimed by a ectoplasmic ghost :1orglaugh

Funny thing about my dog. He doesn't announce. No barking no growling. He decides someone is a threat he launches, no warning at all. When I'm out in public I only watch him.

I've read this online about other mastiffs. no sudden moves :)

The good news is no biting, grab and hold.

I fail to see what's funny about your dog eating a kid for making a sudden move.

About 10 years ago, a close friend of mine produced a low budget horror movie and asked me to help with marketing it online, so I basically moved into his house for a week. Anyways, before this we were mostly meet up at the local watering hole type buddies. He had two English Mastiffs. Super awesome dogs.

Anyway, his wife and I were pretty good buddies. She's the high five / huggy type when she drinks. At the end of the week and working 12-16 hour days, we BBQ'd and drank our asses off. He'd warned me that the dogs were his wife's and told a few stories about them not letting strangers get near her and all this. By this time, I thought the dogs and I were pretty tight.... long story short, she'd said something or other that I found hilarious so my drunk ass went to give her one of those drunken idiot high fives that you see coming from outer space. Within seconds, these dogs went from farting on the couch to me being pinned up against the stove. :1orglaugh

I've wanted a Mastiff ever since, but I love my GSD's and my wife doesn't want 3 big dogs. :Oh crap

У взрослой собаки интеллект 5-летнего человеческого ребенка. Не такие уж они и тупые, как может показаться.

A real story from a city I have grown up @. Two guys have called on a home phone at the apartments they wanted to rob. A little girl have spoke to them and she said she is alone with a baby. This story ended up with one dead body and his friend seriously injured. Baby was a name of Great Dane.

Yep on the shedding, mine was a Leonese Mastiff and one butt cheek would carpet a room.
She's been dead 4 months and I still find her hair everywhere.

That's interesting. Every Great Dane I've ever encountered has always been super friendly and gentle. Obviously with their size they and strength they could seriously injure someone. I wonder if they're good for protection?

I don't know. One guy has ended up with his throat ripped off and the other one was able to stay alive till an ambulance has arrived.

From a distance you can tell big dogs apart. A mastiff will be standing still while a dane will be hopping around nervously. I wanted a dane however I found a mastiff first
