I don't understand Christmas.

First of all there is the religion thing but Jesus was born Jewish, his parents were Jewish and he grew up Jewish but it wasn't until after his death that Christianity was formed. Why then do we celebrate Christmas and Christianity?

Then there is Santa who was created for Coca Cola. It's one big marketing scam. We lie to our children in the name of commerce.

Santa was MARKETED by Coca Cola in the 1930's, very successfully. Nothing to do with the Christian religions.

The idea of Santa was originally of the Pagan Norse God Odin. Hundred of years before the birth of baby Yoda. Nothing to do with Christian Religions. Some other Pagan religions also had their versions of the Odin-based Santa.

The Christians allowed the intertwining of the Pagan religions with thier own, in order to convert more Pagans to Chritianity. Which is why we have Christmas Trees, Santa landing on your house and delivering Cokes and Jesus being born at the same time. And it was originally called Yule but changed to Christmas later.
