Its actually very good...fighting scenes good, story good, music good, casting partially good...i mean triss and yennefer are gorgeous in the games...but in the show meh :))))

You must be crazy.. It feels like a low budget B series with amateurish directing and bad acting compared to Game of Thrones. It's a show for teens and tweens, not adults.

Can't compare to GOT's story. But it was decent. The last episode was the best.

You just described most of GOT after season one. Are you stupid enough to claim GOT season 8 was good? I'll admit Peter Dinklage is better than anyone on Witcher, but not by much, and he can't hold up a whole show by himself.

Anyone know the per-episode budget of Witcher vs. GOT? That might be interesting...

The budget of The Witcher Season 1 is around 70–80 million USD whereas the first few seasons of Game of Thrones cost around 50–60 million USD (per Season).
Although this is the case, the first season of Game of Thrones was released in 2012 and if it was created now, the budget would be a bit more but still less than Witcher's. But if you compare the budget of the last few seasons of Game of Thrones the budget per episode is much more than The Witcher; the budget of Game of Thrones season 8 is around 90 million USD, which is 15 million USD per episode.

Great movie!!

I disagree. GOT has some good episodes, but the torture porn, the unclear magic, the "sand snakes", the whole last season, it had definite flaws.

The many shitty episodes were offset by some really good ones, Bron and Tyrion, Jaime arc, early faceless man, etc.

Witcher has a much better, much more developed universe. JRRRRMartin the fat ass, was too busy fucking actresses to write.

The cast is awful. Triss and Yen are not even close to their description in the books.
But the plot is still good and canonical.

I got more of a "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" vibe then "Game Of Thrones" if i'm honest. That being said, it was pretty good.

It's terrible and cheesy.. It's like a slightly improved version of a show that you would see on Sci Fi channel..

and the monster CGI is bad..

There's absolutely no comparison between the production quality of GOT and Witcher. GOT is on a completely different level in every aspect from acting to directing to story to CGI.

The problem with shows like The Witcher is the actors use modern language, expressions and phrases. I remember a movie called "Young Guns", a cowboy movie. One of the actors getting ready to chase someone calls out "Let's Rock!"
Really? "Let's Rock!" I'm sure that was used all the time in the 1800's.
