Is Streamate dying?

At this point last year, my revenue from Streamate dropped off a cliff. This was especially odd because the change happened almost instantly -- normal revenue in December 2018, 1/3rd as much starting in January 2019. This coincided with a noticeable decline in models/talent on the site itself.

Has anyone else experienced a precipitous drop in revenue from Streamate? Any theories as to why this is? From what I've been able to tell, it's mostly related to models (and customers) shifting over to Chaturbate. That said, the steep revenue decline happened suddenly, so I'm really not sure what to attribute this to.

Separately, does anyone know if Cambuilder might follow Chaturbate in introducing Bitcoin as a payment method? With Paxum and other processors rendered totally useless, this payment method has turned out to be extremely convenient as an alternative to checks or wires. If anyone from MTree/Cambuilder sees this, is BTC under consideration?

since 2015

xanadu 12-27-2019 09:55 AM

from what i know the opposite is true. Not many companies in the industry are getting close to 1B revenue...

Sly 12-27-2019 09:57 AM

Regarding your payment question, they did just add ACH, if that's of any help to you.

Maybe AB5 is causing a drop in models? I saw models complain on Twitter that they can no longer work on Streamate as independent contractors if they aren't employed by a 3rd party. I think they're banning California models from broadcasting if they're not employed.

Other cam platforms like Chaturbate and MFC seem to take the legal risks. But this is something very recent, while you say your decline in revenue has been going on for a year now.

I'd recommend to take a good look at your traffic sources. Are you delivering the same quality traffic as before that period? Maybe you lost a couple of whales which can have a huge impact as well.

They have SheaFoxxx on there. Hot as

CourtneyR 12-27-2019 01:53 PM

maybe you lost a whale.

Yeah, the whale (or whales) theory is plausible. It was an incredible drop though. Revenue was basically stable from 2014 to 2018 (plus or minus 25%) and then cratered. Probably a combination of a smaller pool of talent within my niche and the loss of a few whales, which does go hand-in-hand.

So am I pretty much alone here? No one else has noticed much of a difference Y/Y?

I have a white label that I send small amounts of traffic to and have for probably 7 years now. My monthly revenue is almost always the same.

I would guess the talent pool for your niche and loss of whales is your issue.

pimpmaster9000 12-27-2019 04:04 PM

SM works fine for my models...it has always worked the best and their technical glitch periods aside, it consistently delivers...

I would double check all affiliate codes to make sure you have not been hacked and some affiliate codes have been added that are not yours...

zerovic 12-28-2019 04:20 AM

Even tho I had success with streamate through moneytree, their whitelabels are much better.. One of the best converting cams atm, and even without promotion, I have 1-5 premium signups per month with 2-3 new spenders..

Niktamer 12-28-2019 07:45 AM

Streamate got the best mobile platform on the market tight now and its probably the highest grossing cam company on the market.

Its far from dying , I could say the other way around completly.
our best offer right now www.jerkmate.com is powered by streamate.

I don't like that streamate/cambuilder scrub accounts who don't spend in longish periods of time.

But they do still convert.

fuzebox 12-28-2019 01:31 PM

Yes, the largest company in adult is dying :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Has there not been a sizable shift to Chaturbate? This is just me apparently.

I had couple of customer accounts I didn't use for long periods of time. Both were disabled. Whether they disabled them when expiry dates on the registered credit cards kicked in, or whether they just did it when didn't spend within a certain period of time, I forget. Think was the latter. No mail was ever sent to say accounts were being disabled.

But from webmaster POV, I never had any issues with them paying.

ruff 12-28-2019 06:32 PM

Streamate is the only cam company I can sell. Except recently I did sell a little bit of Live Jasmin, but that may have been an anomaly. My sales are down but that could be Google slapping my ass. I will kill a chicken and burn some incense and see if I can get my sales back up. Adult SEO is a bitch.

You can contact me on email or Skype and i'll look into the reason of your revenue drop. As for bitcoin, probably not.
