what trade? in north Texas when i was a kid I worked damn building. we couldn't haul dirt because the ground was frozen so we worked on the scrapers etc... we had to build a fire under the oil pan just to start the damn things.... and it wasn't even that cold... probably only about 8-10 deg F with wind chill.

I run a Snow removal/ Lawn care business with roughly 60 residential account client during winter.

6 years ago i was working in the Pilling business and when reach -30 degree the owner of the Rig always call in the supervisor in the field to shut down because too risky to broke his equipment . When we was working out of town i remember many days been cancelled and we where stuck drinking at hotel instead of working.
Good memories :)

I was born and raised there and left when I was 18, never looked back. My mom has been with me in Germany for a few months and next week she returns back to Edmonton, i wonder if she is going to have to deal with that extreme cold weather like minus 30's... geebus that sucks.

Oilers vs Flames always sell out :1orglaugh my money is on the Flames this year

I'm actually a Canucks fan and I'll take a bet :winkwink::winkwink:

Yeah he deserves to be suspended .. shitty move

Seen Dave Semenko do worse back in the day . protecting Wayne Gretzky
Back then helmets were optional

As much i like the Oilers, I cannot see them win this year a stanley cup.... I Would be crazy to bet on this one :1orglaugh. In few years yeah :1orglaugh

They talk about there is a ( hockey code ) somewhere between players. It was a vicious hit could have end up very bad.
I guess they get paid well for the Show they give us .... It was Good one at least.

Wayne The Legend :) still have a huge impact in the community. Everyone Love this guy here.
Don't get me wrong Oilers are no Saint either lol .

About helmet, there is one player i remember that was not wearing it and it was Guy Lafleur ( Demon Blanc ) I was about 8 - 10 yrs old at that time.

:1orglaugh, Lucky you, you got another 10 - 15 days to enjoy :thumbsup

Hell no.

I grew up as a kid in NJ on this little mountain. Every time we had a serious snow the power would go out, and we would be physically cut off from the rest of the world for a day or two until the snow plows reached the top of the mountain. We were always prepared for it.

At some point in time snow days go from being lots of fun to being work - having to shovel the snow. I must have been about thirteen one year when I spent the entire morning shoveling the back porch, sidewalk, front porch, and driveway.... I came in for lunch, my mother made me a grilled cheese and tomato soup and... It hit me like a rock. I was going to have to go back out and do it all over again. Fuck that. I promised myself I would never ever live again where it snows.

A few years later I live in California. It's raining here today; Thirty miles north of me it's snowing. But it never snows here.

High of 49 here today, which is cold for us.
