Is there a simple program you can run that will give you an alert, whenever a device logs onto your

network? My Son and family all have their phones, and the kids have their tablets set to connect to my network whenever they come over.

It would be nice if I got an alert when this happened. Meaning that when they arrive on the driveway outside and are getting the kids out the car etc, Id get an 'early warning' where as I could go outside to help them, or finish putting stuff away that I don't want the children messing with.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

I remember in the movie Congo they had some kind of motion sensing machine guns to take down any attacking apes. Maybe find something like that and retrofit it?

You are talking about an alert when they connect to your network specifically, right?

Setup a raspberry pi with raspbian as a wifi router and use IFTTT. You may need to run kali Linux instead of raspian but I’m not sure.

Yeah, my network specifically. 2 iPhones and 2X Amazon Fire Kids tablets :)

Was hoping for something that I could just run in the background on my PC or mac tbh - Not really looking at setting up anything separate if that can be avoided...

But, if nothing exists, that's OK, no problem.

Use Life360. You can set it up so that you get a ping every time someone enters a certain zone. It's handy for everything... Now I know when my wife leaves work or practice....

I'm just flabbergasted by this post. Such normalcy. Is this even GFY?
