Overlay ads on video uploads to WordPress

Anyone got a plugin or way to place an ad code in an overlay on video uploads to WordPress posts?

Need a solution... thanks

Maybe?

I guess worth a try, but I'm always skeptical of things found over there.

Kinda like using things people already know doesn't suck :)

-- edit - looks like that requires constant use of shortcodes, which I rather avoid.

Def want it to be something automated.

KVS Player Pro for WordPress - you can see these ads right in the demo. Pre-rolls, post-rolls and on-pause ones. And yes, these are automated and can be set up in the plugin's settings for your videos all together:

There's a lot of sites ranking who do this. YouTube runs overlay/commercial ads, etc...

Any links to articles that suggest Google would derank a site just for a video ad?

Is this the process I'd use:
  • I upload video anywhere in my WP post.
  • The player automatically places the ad on the video.
  • No shortcodes are needed.

If it works like that, then I'll be good to go.

A shortcode for video will be still needed of course. Otherwise the plugin won't know you have posted a video. It may look like this:

Code:

[flv:http://www.mysite.com/myvideo.mp4 http://www.mysite.com/myscreen.jpg]
A link to your video and a link to a screenshot/thumbnail (can be omitted). All the ads can be set right in the plugin settings and they will be applied to all your videos instantly.

See, I feel like that's one extra step I don't feel like doing every time I make a post.

I want to press "add media" then "insert into post" and be done.

Having to do the shortcode seems like an extra unnecessary step if the video player itself could maybe be edited to display the html layer automatically.

Or some sort of template edit where the html layer is there and I select which ad is displayed on the post, via dropdown/radio button. In this case, I'd only have one ad, so selecting that wouldn't even be needed.

Just one single ad that displays on an html layer on the video player....something automatic.

Ok, seems that's that my plugin is not for you. Hope you'll find the one which works right as it's described above.
