Amp + WordPress + Pornhub Embeds?

Anyone been able to achieve this?

Been playing around with Amp, WordPress, and standard pornhub embeds but for some reason the videos never show on the amp pages.

Anyone been able to do this before?

Don't bother with AMP in adult. Maybe, if you're blogging or reviewing paysites. Otherwise...I've tried, it's pointless. No lift in search traffic. Worse metrics on AMP landers than regular landers.

It was always meant for content sites. You know, sites with articles that people intend to read. News. Blogs.

In adult we need javascript. All embedded players surely require it. AMP doesn't allow it.

this would be good reading for you:

https://amp.dev/documentation/components/amp-iframe/

But it's pointless anyway. Google has basically banned embedded video pages from SERPs (I know from experience, I used to make great money ranking embedded video pages, now its basically impossible).

You gotta rank pages that don't have embedded video players.

I was late to the embed game but my early results on an aged domain of mine was quite promising and then it wasn't.

That's obviously still fine. CJ/aggregator tubes are still pretty dominant in SERPs and I expect they always will be.

And you can still embed videos on your own pages, its just that those pages won't rank very well anymore (since early 2017 or so). I still use embedded video pages on my sites, to keep users on my own site (for better on-site metrics and user retention), but they don't rank like they did back in 2016.

So, you have to rank search/category pages now. Not embedded video pages. (for example, yoursite.com/category/teen--it'll just be a bunch of thumbs, no video player. that kind of page can rank.)

I'm too lazy to google it right now but the issue is that iframes can now use some sort of meta-tag to point to their canonical source. If google sees an iframe prominently featured on a page, and that iframe points back to a canonical source, google usually applies a large penalty to the page with the iframe unless there's something special about it (unique copy, lots of backlinks, whatever)

(some of this is just my own interpretation of what's going on--but its clear, that I used to be able to easily rank embedded video pages, and now it is very difficult.)

It's definitely tough to rank those standard bulk tube site import type sites with no unique titles or descriptions. Everyone and their Mom has thrown up a site like that so there's boat loads of duplicate content.

There's definitely ways to still rank those sites, but it takes quite a bit of work. It does make it easy to separate yourself from the pack and build a winner though, when most of the competition is doing the exact same thing and failing.

I was mainly looking at using AMP with a blog site that uses some Pornhub embeds. It seems like it could be possible if I were to add some specific code to the sites header, then go and change the embed code for each video I wanted embeded with AMP...but that could take a lifetime for a content heavy site. Don't see any tools that automate or speed it up either.

Bummer because AMP seems to be a great addition to the web and to the users.

Unique titles/descriptions matter a lot less than you think for CJ/aggregator tubes. On-site metrics and backlink profile are way more important. Its not difficult to rank a CJ/embed tube if you know what you're doing.

AMP for a blog site makes sense, but I'm not surprised the iframes don't work. But, a blog site with embedded videos in the posts? Those pages could rank, because you're creating unique copy.

However, AMP is NOT a great addition to the web. It's a power-grab by google.

Have no idea what Amp is, but the CyberSEO plugin allows you to scrape embeds from adult tube and livecam sites right out of the box. E.g.: https://www.cyberseo.net/custom-prestes/

It's as easy as this:

Those only mainstream ones because it's youtube, but adult ones can be processed the same way.

Amp is only useful for articles/text based content. You can't by definition use javascript in it, you could theoretically use video tag but then you can't use ads in the player, ads from ad networks etc so it's kinda pointless.
