There's so much trash talk about it being inappropriate. I don't know what degradation and objectification of women they're talking about. Shakira's tongue thing wasn't as a sexual gesture at all. JLo seemed a bit uncomfortable and most of that crotch thing was almost involuntary. It seemed like she was afraid of recreating that nipple incident with Janet Jackson, except in the crotch area.

That said, the show was entertaining and if everyone is saying it isn't empowering, at least it made me want to go back to dance classes very badly, so if not inspirational I'll call it motivational.
