Not only do I LOATHE the interface but it's always been slow.

We use Outlook.
Are you looking for a free solution? Client based? |
I used to love Eudora

BlueMail. Free but not open source (if that matters). Also, Sylpheed.

Oddly, I like thunderbird best, though I'm using Outlook now and am in progress of moving to GSuite. I'm considering just IMAPing Gmail back to Thunderbird. TB's latest version looks pretty good, and the filters and range of configurations include everything I ever needed. I've used what must be 2 dozen mail clients, I even had The Bat! at some point.

That's what I use and recommend. |

So someone could have * running on Gsuite and nobody from the outside world would know the difference. |

It's amazing. Of course if you're one of those anti-google ecosystem guys, then it's not so awesome. I recommend giving it a try. |
I used mailspring in the past and really liked the interface.
There were some quirks (I can’t recall what they were) and I stopped using it. This was some time ago so maybe they fixed them. |

[email protected] could run through Gsuite and no one would be the wiser. (It's not, we like Outlook better.) |
