3 business days for delivering replacement Credit card? Is it Good or bad ?

Im waking up to repeating notification on my cell of my CC was being used 4 transaction total a little over $500.
Half as sleep, did not bother me much, so im going back to bed i think for 5 minutes :1orglaugh and i was WTF :eek7 ?

So i call MC and report the fraud and to my surprise they told me another card would be there within 7 - 10 days.
Im like ok , so i keep using my credit card and when the new card arrive i will cancel this one.
The agent over the phone say you cant do that it will be cancel as soon we hung up.

This is the first time this happened to me so i ask; do you have a 24 hours express delivery i can pay the mail fee's etc!
The agent start laughing and say no need to pay sir the best i can do is 3 business days to get the card to you. :eek7

So if i would be somewhere over sea's at the last few days of my trip and relying on my CC for expense, I would be fucked right up. :error

No baller here, because i dont have that American express with concierge services seems like :1orglaugh

3 days is not a long time. If you were traveling and it was urgent you could get someone to western union you some money.

3 working days would be normal for a replacement.

I usually travel with 2 cards, one in my wallet one in the hotel safe or in a shoe.

I ran a blackcard for years had them before the titanium ones come out, when they introduced those the fees doubled was around 2800 a year here then, I paid that like a sucker for another 5 years. Book anything to do with a holiday in the location your travelling to and you get free travel insurance, so do more than ten overseas trips a year and they pay for themselves. These days I travel less but for longer and the kids grownup and left home so can't justify or fucking afford the fee any more, I used the concierge service once to replace a stolen card was replaced in like 6 hours, still not worth the annual fee, have 2 cards ;)

I guess it's a smart move to travel with 2 card. I will hit visa sometimes this week to apply for one. :thumbsup

Blackcard seems to be an nice expensive way to pay fee's on a CC, 2K+ / year that's insane lol, But like you say for some it's useful.
I like the Travel insurance include though.

You don't need a centurion, you'll get the same service on a $500/year platinum card.

The fees aren't much, they pay for themselves if you travel ($200 travel reimbursements, global entry fee waived)

I always tell them I’m leaving in 2 day’s on an international trip and need the card. They always over night it

Rule for travelling: always keep backup card in case primary card fails.

Backup card and have access to someone that can Western Union you cash if needed. Had this happen to me once. Was a pain in the butt but better than being stuck in another country with no money, LOL.
