Parasite Gets Best film AND Director!..
 

Really pleased for them - It is a great movie - I don't think a foreign language film has won before has it? - Big day for South Korea - Kim Jong-un will be furious at all the attention they will get - He is bound to (try to) blow something up!....

IMO there were no really great films this year 1917 was good, Once upon a time in Hollywood Okay, The Irishman okay, etc.

I didn't think I would like it - I can't concentrate on subtitles as I am so easily distracted I usually end up losing the plot in a few minutes - I was glued to this though. That tells you something...

It's a film that I can't imagine in a million years the producers thought it was an Oscar contender - Some films are made just to be in the running, 1917 for example - This obviously wasn't.....

It's very sharp, witty - Basically a comedy of errors with a great story - I am sure there was a little bit of politics involved in the decision, but it IS a great film...

Guess Im not gay enough to care about the film awards . . .

Tried to download the torrent but the subs didn't work for some reason.

American movies have same story lines struggler with good heart in trouble. Everyone lives happily ever after or America saves the day. A foreign film won it was either that or give it to another remake. Even Once Apon a Time in Hollywood is a play on name of Once upon a time in China 1+2+3. Content isn't all about budget it is entertainment. I will guarantee now that Parasite will be remade in a few years in Hollywood.

Good movie, but surprised that 1917 didn't get it.

He made a ton of other great sites, Okja, TheHost, Snowpiercer, all SUPER great. I"ve not seen Parasite yet, but looking forward to it :)
