ViceTemple is stealing our themes & plugins (and even our competitors too)
 

Hi everyone,

Quick thread to inform that ViceTemple.com is currently stealing our work and that all the wp-scripts products bought through them will be banned definitely.

We DO NOT have a reseller plan and ViceTemple is definitely not a partner.

We also think that our competitors are not aware of this.

The cherry on the cake, they even copied our "How to start porn site guide" and we have the proof of that.

Be careful.

You should try running through the purchase process and actually see if they install it for you unlicensed, then you will have proof for potential legal action. They may well just be intending to buy from you when a client orders and then installing that (and may have had no orders yet via their site).

They claim to offer a 45-day money-back guarantee no questions asked so just order a vps and see if they install your script and then request your money back. At worst you'll pay yourself for license of your own software and be out the card processing fee...

Possible - I have been playing with a similar idea...

All their stuff is f'ing expensive!....

I checked my emails looking for vicetemple. They did seem to have contacted me a while back asking about a reseller license it looks like so they probably aren't just straight pirating 80% of the tube scripts in adult.

That being said, "Home to the largest adult hosting network on the Internet" and I've never heard of them before that?

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately we don't think they purchase a license on our shop for each user that purchases a WP-Script product on their site. For example, AdultVideoScript wasn't aware of it too, and they removed his product from their script's list immediatly after he contacted them, so it's suspicious...

They also contacted us to inform us that they were going to copy the content of our started guide under the guise of a pseudo collaboration. And they actually took over a huge part of our content.

Very sketchy then. Also worth noting their own site is hosted on cloudflare which is a bit weird for a hosting company, but ok. Maybe someone that actually took advantage of their offer will chime in.

Yes but when you click on "buy now" in their topbar, you are redirected to a cart page and you can purchase our product, on their site...

Actually, i'm not talking about adent.io, but more about ViceTemple (based in netherlands, and owned by Abelohost) that are stealing our products and competitors ones to resell them without our consent.

We are going to sue them.

Not necessarily. They sent me email about reselling too so probably sent same thing to a whole bunch of script vendors in this case and maybe only they agreed. If vicetemplate had anything to do with adent.io, adent.io wouldn't be pushing m3server as affiliate - https://adent.io/software-services-f...t-web-hosting/ - they would push vicetemple.

Yes - It is KVS - Unless I am talking to KVS then they are not telling the truth and I suspect will be do the same with the others - The admin demo wasn't working when I looked before...

If KVS owned vicetemple they probably wouldn't be pushing all the competitors to KVS including free scripts...

Exactly - Their most expensive license is $499 - No reseller rights...

The guy is spinning like crazy on messenger now - Saying the extra price is for the template - The template is just the KVS 'Basic' template from their theme store with a different header...


Total con artist - Not much you can do though I am afraid - Just make his life difficult...

They can also write their own press releases
