How is the idea of starting an Affiliate program mainly for gaining traffic?
 

I have a little micro-paysite and can't get traffic worth a stone..

However, I do have value in the content that people sign up for

Would it make sense now to offer an affiliate program with like a 50% commission for any new signups I get

(Mainly JUST to get traffic)

Is it too early to start???

Turn to an affiliate program only if you do not know how to monetize your traffic. If you don't have such problems, you shouldn't.
