Considering Gab.com as an alternative to Reddit...
 

Does anyone have any experience, opinions or advice with Gab.com?

They bark about free speech and don't allow porn, so they are non-useful hypocrites. Just my take.

Probably red-pillers pushing the anti-porn agenda . . .

I'm not too worried about them not allowing porn. There is lots of non-naked and non-sex content that can be used.

On that note, I can't deal with Reddit's censorship.

It's running on empty. He (Torba) is trying to make it the place to go for Trump supporters, but Trump is on Twitter. The people who gave it its energy in its infancy are now as unwelcome there as they are everywhere else.

And yes, it's anti-porn. Torba, the guy who founded Gab, is a Christian with a real bee in his bonnet about porn, and he wants to ban it. It must be his main temptation.

Christians in real life are usually the biggest porn addicts and dirtbags.

Just ask the girls in New Jersey who get knocked up by their boyfriend’s pals and have abortions bc they don’t know who it belongs to, while having kids from at least 2-3 other guys. But don’t worry, it says “Good Christian Girl” on FB so it must be legit.

Never heard of Gab but one thing for sure is Reddit traffic will make your bounce rate go sky high. It's full of nerds and gamers that will just take a quick look. If you're lucky you'll get upvoted a few times and get a do-follow backlink or two.

I forgot to say...if you're posting "ugly" images on Reddit, they won't go down any better on Gab.

I looked into it and they're not allowing any more subs to be created.

Unfortunately we've got an entire process with social media grooming. Facebook is great for hustling suckers but we've needed something with a less of a one-on-one approach.

Unfortunately it's the fucking down vote function that's causing problems on reddit. If they comment did NOT automatically hidden at negative 4 there would be no problems. (99% of users are too stupid or too lazy to disable it in their preferences)

Voat + Gab = the bottom rung of the internet. Below that is ZeroNet hell.

Reddit doesn't censor. You just post shit content and it gets downvoted to the point of low to zero visibility. :thumbsup

Reddit now threatens to ban you for upvoting content they decide is inappropriate. They also removed a bunch of moderators of /r/the_donald and replaced them with their own. They also made an algo to prevent conservative subreddits from getting on the homepage. They quarantined a subreddit with 500k+ users to reduce it's growth.

I am currently on a 30 day Facebook ban for calling someone a "dolt". Meanwhile, I have high security clearance at Facebook and have been deep inside their datacenters where even employees aren't allowed while being unable to use their site for being a bully who violates community standards, but using 100 year old hardly used English to refer to someone who had actually just called me a pedophile (which...not surprising, isn't against community standards). :1orglaugh

That's because right wing extremists were planning domestic terrorism / discussing it on those subs. All of that has been in their ToS for like, a decade. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. :thumbsup

Oh, and they were facing a lot of blowback from companies like Amazon (where Reddit makes millions) because right wingers were vote brigading books on there amongst other things.
