Some well-known websites could stop functioning properly on Wednesday, 4 March, after a bug was found in the digital certificates used to secure them.

The organisation that issues the certificates revealed that three million need to be immediately revoked.

Visitors to affected sites will be greeted with an alert warning them the site is insecure.

One expert said the issue could result in a "loss of trust".

The internet security research group (ISRG) is the non-profit organisation behind the project, Let's Encrypt, and last month celebrated issuing its billionth certificate.
It seems if you have not got an email yet you are OK - I will check mine anyway...

i was just going to post about this. it doesn't matter if your certs look ok right now, they are revoking any certificates issued before March 1st today at 3PM EST.

https://thehackernews.com/2020/03/le...evocation.html

:warning you can't renew them. you have to delete and re-issue.

i have about 450 to do today..

It's only some of them - About 2.5% in fact - There is a site you can check them on or you can download the list of cert id's and try to check them against your records - A spreadsheet should be able to do it...
