So I went to the store.

I bought a couple of bottles and took them home and washed both bottles with dish soap.

I washed my hands, I lost count of how many times.

I went in to buy some diet cokes, turned around and went home. Lines all the way to bakery. Both self checkout and cashiers. Will go back after midnight. Fucking idiots.

I live in Los Angeles and just came back from the grocery store with lots of customers pushing full shopping carts. Meat fridge was nearly empty, pasta and rice were all gone, frozen vegetables and fruit were all gone, bread and frozen pizza were mostly gone, toilet paper and paper towels were all gone and cleaning supplies were mostly gone. Disinfectant and gloves have been long gone.

I just got back too. Lots of full carts sitting at the front of the store for people to put back on shelves. Overheard 2 employees talking about people getting tired of waiting in line and just walking away leaving full carts. I don't get it. This US, not Russia or Zimbabwe. You can order all that stuff online from amazon and have it delivered. I got diet pepsi (was on sale) and Hawaiian buns and walked out.

We have 1 case and Costco is getting cleaned out. Sams is starting to.

They need to shop tomorrow. One CNA went to buy Lunchables for her kid and all sold out. No pasta left, no meat but expensive cuts, few canned goods and little frozen food. The food here is limited usually so this week I’m not eating much. No money to stock up I’m told. Yeah, don’t front cash in a pandemic and worry about it later. Fucking morons.

I suggested delivery since most stores that deliver have lowered the fees. Stop & Shop has a seven hour window and Lee’s Supermarket, a local grocery store, has a one day delay already. They are expensive anyway but hopefully they won’t run out of food. The winter isn’t tourist season and they don’t carry as many things.

Weight loss is coming!

i went to 7-11 for a slurpee and there's the usual stack of water outside. went in, grabbed a 4-pack of TP, paid for 2 of the 24-packs of water, and went home.

yea that was pretty easy LOL

I have been to the supermarket three times in the 36 hours.

Thursday night around 10 - pretty empty as far as people were concerned, no TP available. I was walking Buddy so not prepared for "shopping"; I grabbed a candy bar and figured I would return in the morning.

Friday morning, around 10 or 11 - parking lot was so packed I said screw it; will return Friday night.

Friday night around 10:30 - store normally closes at midnight but they had a sign up saying they would close at 11. I walk inside and the line for self-serve checkout was at least 30 minutes long; I decide I am not that desperate.

The security guard directs me to a bunch of flowers she is standing by and asks if I want $15. Turns out, someone attempted to bribe her to get cuts in line; she couldn't take the money so told me to; I did.

I think she really likes Buddy.

I'm in a neighborhood where people aren't living paycheck to paycheck and can afford to buy enough food and supplies to last them, in the event of a quarantine.

Just start coughing violently and people will clear from your path.

I just went to subway and got me a footlong for 6.00 bucks but that's just me. I can survive with the bare minimum if needed, you can also shop on amazon.com so its all good.

I got enough water and shit paper that can last me 1 month.

A lot of families with lots of kids are worried. And of course, low income families as well, I feel for them.

A great sandwich shop is having friends a 2for1 deal on their large torpedo on Tuesday.

$10 will give me about 5 or 6 dinners
