Getting back into this business after 5 years?
 

Due to some very unfortunate life events i have been out of the webmaster game for over 5 years. Maybe some of you remember me, I was active here.

I used to run a network of mostly non-nude and nude sites, mainly tgp sites with the odd topsite and a tube site. With these I got decent enough traffic and an ok income, nothing special but something to almost live off. I do have the skills to make similar such sites again.

I just made a mainstream site, Bug Out Survival Kit - Prepare to survive a crisis and looking at my pathetic traffic numbers, I am wondering if i should also go back into porn, maybe nudes.

I have no idea what the landscape is like these days... My question to you wise ladies and gentleman, is two-fold. Is it worth spending the time making more porn sites in 2020?? If it is worth it, what avenue do you suggest for a small time guy like me?

I should note as I am currently unemployed and will be for a while due to the corona virus, I have plenty of free time to work on things. Also I am happy making a small amount, even $50-$100 a week would be interesting for me.

It is worth but you need to have considerable resources in order to achieve success. But the general problem with webmastering, is how it takes time to see results , so you should find other ways for making money immediately.

What do you mean by resources? Time or money or both? I have plenty of time but not much money...

Which avenue to go down (blogs, tpgs, tubes etc etc) would you recommend for a starter?

Time is required to create content (video title/descriptions). Money is required to buy backlinks.


Best avenue would be Blog-o-tube - wordpress with plugin which allows you to host or embed videos, and make sure you have atleast 500 words description on each video, that way you can bypass problem with lack of backlinks.

Most of the hosts offer free SSL certs so you can install one for your site.

There is probably more outfits plugging masks anti viral shit right now then porn purveyors. My mantra is: " make content and then sell it from your own site..." or you waste a lot of time just to compete with 1000's of other tubes.

I just jumped back into adult after a 7 year hiatus. I rebooted one of my paysites (new tour, remastered some old content and started shooting some new stuff).

January I did 46 new signups
February did 96 new signups
So far as of March 25th I've done 141 new signups

All the signups are full priced $30 dollar memberships. roughly 20% are $100 non-recurring.

My only promotion method is tubes. I'm on like 8 of them.
