Ozark season 3

I just saw Season 3, not bad, it kept it entertaining, you guys follow Ozark?

Rochard 03-30-2020 09:01 PM

It's on my list, but I am watching a lot of TV these days. Right now (as I type this) watching Picard with my wife. Behind her back I am watching an odd show called Counterpart on Starz. During the day while I work I've been watching the greatest TV show ever created (Miami Vice); I can only watch something I've already seen during while working or it's too distracting. Also on Starz is a movie I want to watch "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood".

We are in the new golden age of televison... We can pretty much watch anything we want on demand.

SilentKnight 03-30-2020 10:17 PM

Yep, watched the first episode of the new season the other night.

Still as good as the previous seasons.

BlueBookJosh 03-31-2020 12:09 AM

I do, didn't even know season 3 came out... Thanks! :thumbsup

CurrentlySober 03-31-2020 07:27 AM

Yes. Good ending as well.

celandina 03-31-2020 07:46 AM

EddyTheDog 03-31-2020 06:01 PM

The ending picks up steam fast, Not bad, i think this season is better than season 2 for sure.

HowlingWulf 04-01-2020 07:02 AM

Saw the first few episodes - still good!

pornguy 04-01-2020 08:40 PM

Re watching season 1 first.

Evil Chris 04-02-2020 06:55 AM

Ozark is one of the best series out there right now. I'm in the middle of S3 now.

Also, Fargo is great.

LAJ 04-02-2020 09:04 AM

One episode to go. The cast is so amazing and it's always been my belief that anything Jason Bateman is in or directs, is gold.

GAMEFINEST 04-02-2020 09:39 AM

Ending is a doozy

Julia Garner is also outstanding. She's absolutely perfect for her part.

Yup... nails it. She won an emmy for best supporting. Well deserved.

Very under rated and under appreciated show.

*Cough* The Outsider *Cough* ???

Totally ruined that, with his Holly Gibney reimagining from the book it is based upon :2 cents:

Just to clarify, I am not complaining that she is black, but that she has changed personality so much from the book. In an interview with Bateman I have read, he states that he was so 'Enamoured' by Cynthia Erivo, that he just had to have her in the the role, so it was rewritten and changed to suit her style.

In my opinion ruining what could have been a great adaptation.

I usually don't enjoy shows where I dislike the main characters, but Ozark is the exception. It's so well done and believable and even the most awful things come from who the characters are and it's remarkable to see character-driven television plotting which is so consistent and well done.

But now what to watch next cause I binged this season so fast...

Well to be fair, every Stephen King book made into a movie completely shreds the book and looks nothing like it should have been. It's something I will never understand.

One of my favorites was 11-22-63... I mean that book blew me away. Then they cast James Franco in the lead role for the movie adaptation... he's a good actor but JFC he couldn't have been more wrong for the role. And of course the series left out tons of important plot points and rewrote the damn thing. It was still entertaining to watch but paled in comparison to the book.

CurrentlySober 04-03-2020 04:54 AM

Yeah, I agree movies TV shows always fuck up the books, but Holly Gibney was especially disappointing to me. When I read the Mr Mercedes trilogy, and was introduced to the character, I had a vibrant and instant connection, because as she was written, with certain quirks and foibles, reminded me a lot of a dear friend that I had to leave behind in the sates and I miss dearly.

Then I saw the adaptation of Mr Mercedes as a miniseries, and although they had altered the age of the character, her quirks and foibles remained true to the character.

Upon reading 'The Outsider' I was absolutely delighted at the unexpected 'crossover' that Holly was going to play a big part. And I thoroughly enjoyed that book and was over the moon when I discovered a TV adaptation would be made.

But like I say, I was genuinely dissapointed in the changes of the characters attitude and direction, that I actually googled 'Why has Holly changed so much' and got the Bateman interview where he basically says he changed the character, to better fit the actress he wanted in the rile, and if that isn't just change for changes sake, then I don't know what is...

But anyway, its just 1st World Problems really innit? At least we have it to watch in the first place I suppose... :thumbsup

grzepa 04-03-2020 05:56 AM

by the time they released 3 i forgot what was in previous 2 :/

Haha... true. But we do have the right to critique and discuss and be disappointed. I've been a fan of King for 40 years and have done more than my share of buying his books and going to his movies. :2 cents:

Fucking best season so far. Tom Pelphrey (Ben Davis) deserves a nomination, better yet an award for his performance. I'm just pissed I watched the whole season in a week and now I have to wait a year for the next one. The final scene was insane.

Miguel 04-06-2020 01:04 PM

Better Call Saul is getting hotter in current season as well.

brassmonkey 04-06-2020 01:14 PM

i stopped at 1

PornDiscounts-V 04-06-2020 01:15 PM

I'm told afterlife is another good one.

sandman! 04-06-2020 02:08 PM

I’m halfway done with it liking this season as far

I watched After Life with Ricky Gervais and it's absolutely astonishing. From his brilliant sarcasm to scenes that would make you cry, his best work so far. If you like the guy, make sure to check this out, it's on Netflix. :thumbsup
