CamSoda Whitelabel Issues
 

I see 3 major problems with camsoda whitelabels:

1- when a user signs up, the confirmation email he/she receives has a link to camsoda thus leaking outside of the co-branded whitelabel. Also after doing so I don't see anything in the stats.

In addition the confirmation email comes from a camsoda domain instead of a co-brand.

2- I don't see whitelabel hits and registrations in the stats. I signed up as a test, and confirmed my email. Nothing shows up on the affiliate dashboard.

3- there is a leak at the top right corner: the big model subscription button links to camsoda main site, with no affiliate ID!

From the above, unless I am wrong, the whitelabel isn't functional.

Anyone else here giving it a go? Feedback?

If you are a camsoda affiliate, you can easily reproduce the 3 issues I described.

Today, 2020-04-10, 3 hours after signing up a test account on my wl, still nothing shows up in my stats.

what support says about those problems?

I see that too. It appears the hits are not showing or sign-ups via the whitelabel.

We stopped using WL on cams for these reasons and more.

yes, no wonder: the confirmation link doesn't send you back to your whitelabel!

I hear you man: there are sponsors who engineered ways to take customers back from your brand so they don't have to pay commissions for life. I know some sneaky tricks, some technical others implicit, more insidious (socially engineered using models). But in this case it looks like the whitelabels aren't functional, like there is a design flaw.

Any more info on the whitelabels would be appreciated. I started sending traffic back to direct for now.

Did you try to reproduce the issues I raised? Takes a couple minutes. It would be informative.

Yes I get the confirmation from Camsoda. Hits and registrations are not being counted for me.

Can you show me exactly where you mean in screenshot? I can't seem to find this to reproduce the results.

One more thing . the "Become a model" on the whitelabel links to "https://www.camsoda.com/models/signup?id=" no ID.

I did bring this thread to the attention of CamSoda. I told them and they are sending it to developers. So if you find anything else feel free to let me know and I can tell them.

Stats aren't counted but, in addition, I also mentioned the confirmation email 'from' address is camsoda and the confirmation link in the body links back to camsoda.com which is a major issue. Do you see that too?

That is what I mean. This prominent 'Become a model' button has 2 issues: it links outside of the wl domain + there's no affiliate ID.

Thanks. I will let you know. I am flabbergasted because these can be spotted after 30s testing, what are the project leads (who sign off on public releases) and developers doing? That doesn't seem very serious.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. The White Label maker is brand new and we are working on finalizing it.

1- when a user signs up, the confirmation email he/she receives has a link to camsoda thus leaking outside of the co-branded whitelabel. Also after doing so I don't see anything in the stats.
We are updating the registration link to the WL domain.

In addition the confirmation email comes from a camsoda domain instead of a co-brand.
We are working on a solution for this, the from address greatly affects
inbox deliverability so we are trying to find a solution that gets to inbox.

2- I don't see whitelabel hits and registrations in the stats. I signed up as a test, and confirmed my email. Nothing shows up on the affiliate dashboard.
The stats area for these numbers should be completed this week.

An affiliate id will be added to that link this week.

From the above, unless I am wrong, the whitelabel isn't functional.
