If you are waiting for the customers to contact you, you wont make it.

You need to be very progressive in your approach to new customers, and make sure you do everything you can to maintain those you have. If you look at cost, the price of getting new customers are always higher than that servicing the current.

- Find webmasters/businesses that matches your service and reach out to them.
- Find developers and team up with them
- Help your current customers grow, so they need more capacity

You could put your hosting link in your sig.

j3rkules 04-12-2020 01:47 PM

Some good advice here. Do you have an affiliate program for your hosting site?

Was gonna ask about: Are you ISO certified? any audit reports?

... but then I saw your site and the text "AlexHost Offering DMCA ignored" and the fact you are from Moldova

Fuck you :warning

Hinc 04-13-2020 02:58 AM

Ahem ... https://alexhost.com/page/dmca-ignor...cated-servers/

If thats really what you want to offer its a certain clientel youre looking for - most will not want to go with a host like that. And your "special clientel" i imagine would want you to elaborately guarantee them that the hosting is actually bulletproof (including uplinks etc)

...and uhm, theres no point telling the clients at the same time that they cant do anything illegal - wanting to do illegal things would largely be the only reason to choose hosting with that feature

it's a pity! I could make a discount :winkwink::winkwink:

CurrentlySober 04-16-2020 04:00 AM

You should offer a free poo sent to every new customer... :2 cents:

Seriously though, can you explain to me, as a potential customer, the benefits of DMCA ignoring hosting and why it would be beneficial to me? Why would I want it?

Aren't there laws protecting intellectual property in place where you live?

We do not have such a law, the provider can ignore this request.

I launched the partner program: https://gfy.com/announcements/132644...-services.html

I am ready to pay $ 10 for a client who will buy a dedicated server from 25 euros. Payment is instant!

It's funny how you are bitching and moaning about people stealing your content, but have NO problem using a host that advertise themselves as a "DMCA ignore host" :helpme

Really? There is no law protecting authors' rights? I don't believe that. They are internationally recognized and protected.

Who do you try to fool here??

I'm not trying to trick anyone.
We comply with the laws of the Republic of Moldova, if the author of the content writes an application to the police, the police must authorize this document with the prosecutor and then we turn off the service of this client.

We can’t turn off the client’s website either because someone just wrote us an email. This moment is used by many hosting providers from different countries, for example, England, the Netherlands.

Thank you for your question, I was interested to answer you.

You know that copyright infringement is a criminal offence, right?

And you know, it's also a criminal offence, if someone knowingly allows others commit crime using his or her webhosting service? You don't need any police report to have a proof that a work is copyrighted and stolen.

Authors can easily prove they are authors of the work while your shitty clients won't be able to refute it, which makes you responsible if you tolerate that.

Fuck you

Tippy 04-22-2020 09:45 AM

If the authors prove we will delete.
I need new ideas where to find customers.
I launched the action, I give $ 10 for each client who buys a dedicated server.

fuzebox 04-22-2020 11:03 AM

Advertise that you take bitcoin on your front page, have the text in case anyone wants to ctrl+f and search for it. Put your payment option logos in the footer of the main page. Don't make someone go through and configure a server to find out whether you take bitcoin or not.

Tippy 04-24-2020 03:40 AM

This is a great idea! I'll think about how to do it.

Go for it but your business move was to share price so can only assume your sharing discounts. Sounds cheap.

Tippy 04-27-2020 05:00 AM

Thanks, I want to work with local webmasters
