What is a TV series you can binge watch over and over?

I've actually done Sopranos, Dexter, the Office and Breaking Bad twice. Doing Mad Men now and could see doing Curb Your Enthusiasm again. I actually tend to watch more European TV series than anything... so many great ones there and usually with the benefit of being under 20 episodes.

jscott 04-16-2020 09:24 AM

Seinfeld only!

I have watched Frasier quite a few times and am sure I could watch it a few more. Laugh every single time.

I tend to watch Entourage on a yearly basis as well.

Oh yeah, saw Entourage again as well. Such a great show.

Back in the late 90s, part of my job at the time was organizing press tours for TV shows. Got to hang out and meet with the actors on the sets of Frasier and Becker among others at the time.

Deadwood a third time as a refresher before seeing the movie, incredible writing and a superb cast.
The movie sucked by comparison.

Californication. People kept telling me I needed to watch it. I was quickly hoooked on it, and I've watched it a few times since then. Nice and dirty too, just the way I like it.

And of course The Office.

I loved all of those shows. If I remember correctly, Happy Days & Good Times were against each other in the same time slot (Tuesdays?).

My parents wouldn't let me watch Happy Days. Said it was stupid. Forced me to watch Good Times. Glad they did...

For me, HBO is the king of period pieces. Deadwood was superb, Westworld is great (à somewhat period pièce) and The Plot Against America is really great.

But I keep going back to Boardwalk Empire. Spectacular in detail and warrants a revisit. I pick up so many details on a re-watch...

Watching an old TV series now, BBC Survivors.

nsout

It gives more accurate consequence of disaster like Walking Dead. The real problem will be feeding yourself, moving around after petrol runs, Healthcare, the survival of the human species.

Quote:

Survivors is a British post-apocalyptic fiction drama television series created by Terry Nation and produced by Terence Dudley at the BBC, that broadcast from 1975 to 1977. It concerns the plight of a group of people who have survived an apocalyptic plague pandemic, which was accidentally released by a Chinese scientist and quickly spread across the world via air travel. Referred to as "The Death", the plague kills approximately 4,999 out of every 5,000 human beings on the planet within a matter of weeks of being released.
Ironic!!!

I watched recently Star Trek Picard and i dont know why is such a fuss, i was not able to find a single positive review about it on IMDB. Apparently key problem how is too different from star trek, but it is kind pointless to repeat same stuff over and over.

rhon23 04-21-2020 11:31 AM

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

crockett 04-21-2020 11:37 AM

The Office (American version only couldn't get through a episode of the British version)
The Wire (best ever cops and robbers show)
The first 48 (I mean really who doesn't like murder porn.. south park was right)
South Park (common no one else has this really?)
Battlestar Galactica (and the spin offs)
Deadwood (even though HBO screwed us.)

I know there is more but I dunno if they would be worthy of watching over and over maybe twice or once every 5 or 10 years..

The problem is with the character Picard. He is SO different from the Captain Picard we knew from Star Trek that it's like he is a totally different character. Or had a stroke or brain surgery or something. It's not Star Trek, it's a dark, depressing shit show of a series.
