BorraTusVideos Unfair Practices with DMCA Notices
BorraTusVideos filed a dmca notice against some of my content however my content is legit and dmca compliant.
I was going to file a counter notice and when looking up the complainant's website I realized it looks shady: borratusvideos.com Is it possible BorraTusVideos is a dummy or bogus company? Here are the potential issues I see: - they charge models for a service they don't fully offer: charging by the number of notices, even if the notices end up countered because content is legit - their method could be a way to de-anonymize webmasters: filing a counter notice requires you send them your contact details - it unfairly gives my business bad rep - legitimate traffic doesn't go to the model - it is wasting my time What to do? Is this a real company? I'd be curious to see if they are on gfy |
Has their domain dropped or something? It's redirecting me to a spammy affiliate offer.

I am also having troubles with this company? site?... idk wtf it is...
I have notified chaturbate, streamate and other companies as well about these DMCA notices and I wrote about this here I will ask again, we can't even use REAL FUCKING PROMO TOOLS ANYMORE? https://gfy.com/22650257-post3583.html |
I get a 'This site can't be reached' when I click on the site link
does appear to be a real company though, or at least was one once, as per this article based on how the article describes their methadology, BorraTusVideos reminds me of an awful company that years ago also targeted camgirls as clients. they basically did google searches for their clients cam names, DMCA'ing every mention they found. women even had their own clips studios DMCA'ed by those idiots. was a real mess for those just trying to protect their content from piracy also a huge waste of money, as so many forums dedicated to pirated content weren't/aren't even indexed in google and there are some sites that even wonderful DMCA co's like RYC find to be a challenge more sites should educate their talent about how to handle piracy, the role of affiliates using legit content, and how to opt out of outside promo if desired stuff like this is a rip-off for talent. I find it extra offensive that co's like this target talent who may not be well-versed on how to distinguish infringement from legit promotional use, or how in instances of real piracy that they can do this ish themselves, for free. it's also a massive hassle for legit affs. many peeps have one foot in each camp so it's not a one side against the other kinda thing def talk to the sponsors, and make sure to counter-notice with google as well good luck |
Probably another one of AKs genious projects.

My Adblocker prevents the site from even opening. A true rarity tbf. It hardly ever happens.

May I ask what was the sponsors reply and action? Quote:

Counter-notice is on the table but then I have to submit my contact details, visible to "them" when I only get their crappy domain name above mentioned. As per the sponsors, I'm expecting they won't do anything, even though a couple of URLs belong to them (ironically). One thing I haven't thought of before now is send them an email: their real email is hidden behind proxy (available in whois) but should be working. I see in the notice they also wrongly targeted a known site with a representative here at gfy, maybe we could team up. |

Streamate said "I'm having our team file a counter claim." Not sure why Streamate will sent a counter claim, since my site is not a WL... I will ask them more info to do that for myself |
