I know a guy from brazil, he's a ship musician, guitar player.... he's been stuck on a cruise ship this whole time, not getting paid. they won't let him go.... the ship just goes around and around, up and down the coast. the cdc says they are quarantined and carnival says it cost too much to send him home.

I've gone on a few cruises, don't think I ever will again... hate to be trapped on a ship.

I do a cruise a few times a year. On the Staten Island Ferry.

I grab a pretzel and beer, look at the Statue of Liberty and 22 minutes later, I'm back on land.

And that's enough for me...

Most of them are sent out to their country of origin. They used the same ship to repatriate their workers. It's cheaper than sending them thru airlines.

I did a swinger's cruise back in the late 70s. As I recall I did a lot of fucking, ate a lot, drank a lot and got a shit load of free footage.

I never got so much as a verbal "OK" to publish the footage. However it didn't stop us and we published the hell out of the stuff. - We had absolutely ZERO problems.

Sigh.. The Good Old Days.

Sounds like paradise having free accomodation and buffet daily. For sure the cruise holiday prices will fall a lot soon and I am happy to book them.

the crew is not allowed to do anything, and have tiny shared cabins. even now that the ship has no passengers he has to stay in a tiny cabin and pay for internet and anything other than basic food :2 cents:

Cruise crews typically stay in interior cabins with no view. Cabins with portholes or balconies are allocated to paying customers. If he's not allowed to do anything and has to stay quarantined in a tiny cabin, it's more like prison.

Wow that's terrible... the poor guy. If it was me I would be looking for a way to steal a life boat and take my chances rowing to shore. Sorry to hear about your friend.


The same. I've never been on a cruise, and never want to be. And besides, those tubs pollute like a motherfucker.

Lots of missing info about whats really going on inside the ship. He will end up getting some sort of pay in the long run as the lines are getting the shit sued out of them.

No buffets now thats closed they get three hots and a cot and thats all.

he is going to sue the shit out of them when he gets home, yes they are feeding him. internet is very expensive. anything other than food must be bought, he mentioned a bottle of water...
