Have restrictions been lifted where you live ?

Not much lifted here in IL thinking it’s time to take a vacation soon to somewhere

The Porn Nerd 05-10-2020 12:01 PM

Here in NYC/NJ things are opening up very slowly but most are not going out still.

ravo 05-10-2020 12:08 PM

Slowly being lifted here in Ontario. Some stores have allowed to open; building supplies, nursery and garden centres. Some outdoor recs areas open for day use only. Still can't gather in groups, and bars/restaurants are closed (except or curbside takeout).

Georgia has been open and on Wikipedia it says they had 59 deaths a few days ago and their cdc page reports less. So hard to say if it going well.

Not much changing here in MI either, thinking about heading somewhere south that's less populated like Bayou La Batre, AL

Dude if you're thinking Alabama to stay safe it's game over. LOL

Klen 05-10-2020 02:51 PM

In CZ and CRO there is almost full lift of quarantine, only some minor restrictions left.

HairyChick 05-10-2020 02:58 PM

Massachusetts is doing it in stages. Tomorrow was supposed to be the widespread opening day but now stage one is May 18 (subject to change) and stage two is in June.

Golf courses are in stage one. Godnose how vital those are for necessary things. My hairdresser appointment was changed to Tuesday but now is June 2.

My PCP is doing a telemed call on Wednesday. Another doctor called and just extended my prescription for fentanyl without needing to see me .

Restaurants are opening in June but many say they’ll wait for the pandemic to ease. You can’t have people eating food while wearing masks.

CurrentlySober 05-10-2020 03:39 PM

Restrictions are all in the mind, man...

I'll just do whatever the fuck I want. when I want, as usual...

Only difference is that outside, everywhere is shut... But I'm too fat to go outside...

i cunt fit through my door... :(

Bonkers Boris has shown how inept he is so most the UK have no idea what the fuck they are "supposed" to be doing.

The Scottish government is trying to distance itself from the Tory lunacy now and give a clearer message thankfully...

NatalieMojoHost 05-11-2020 04:15 AM

Starting tomorrow, mainly beauty salons, clothing stores etc. Oh and we can walk in parks and all that, which everyone ignored and still did anyway.

CaptainHowdy 05-11-2020 04:42 AM

Fifteen days without new covid cases so . . .

Restaurants ( indoor) still closed ( outdoor seating opened 1/2 capacity and 2m distancing)
Masks still compulsory in public.
Cross border travel still restricted ( with some exceptions)
Social distancing still enforced ( with some exceptions)
Shopping Centers still closed

Crisis status to be lifted on May 17th, BUT with extra powers given to the Minister of Health to put "breaks" on anything should the situation changes for the worse.

Rochard 05-12-2020 08:03 AM

I live in Northern California, and no, the restrictions have not been lifted.

The only things open are stores that sell food and restaurants can do take out. We can exercise outside but gyms are closed, hair salons are closed, retail stores.... A lot of businesses are calling themselves "essential" when it's questionable... There is a framing store up the street from me and he makes furniture and he is still open, although quietly. A hair salon opened up and people rushed in; I can do without getting my hair cut.

This is horrible.

Not quite Zuzanko. From the page of Czech Health Ministry ( Google translation). Nothing about not wearing masks indoors or restaurants, quite contrary masks will remain compulsory. Thye mention that on 25the wearing masks will be relaxed more, but who knows what that means? You may be right that the indoor restaurants will be open BUT masks will be compulsory except when you directly consume food or drink? Ministry is very quiet on this. So play it safe and for you birthday find a place with a garden seating :thumbsup

Today, on the basis of a proposal from the Ministry of Health, the government decided on further exemptions from wearing masks and stipulated that the rules for wearing them in public would be relaxed from 25 May.

From 12 May, the obligation to wear a masks outside the residence no longer applies to participants in the admission procedure and members of examination boards in schools, as long as the spacing of at least 1.5 meters is maintained; for students, participants in the admission procedure, academic staff, members of examination commissions for state examinations and entrance examinations at universities, if the spacing is at least 1.5 meters and if there is a maximum of 15 people in the room and for patients and health professionals for the necessary time , if necessary for the provision of health care.

While maintaining a favorable epidemiological situation, the mandatory wearing of respiratory protective equipment when moving and staying away from home will be abolished from 25 May. The government thus decided with regard to the recommendations of the Working Group for the Release of Quarantine Measures at the Ministry of Health, which assessed the current development of the epidemic as favorable. However, the mandatory use of masks will continue to apply in all interiors of buildings, outside the home; in means of public transport, including taxi service; in all other places where there are at least 2 persons at a distance of more than 2 meters, unless they are exclusively members of the household. "The positive development of the epidemic continues. Even better than we expected. The epidemiological group of Associate Professor Hungarian therefore sat down over the weekend and recommended that the maks be loosened in public earlier. It must be emphasized that this will only happen if the situation does not worsen. We will also see how today's large wave of easing measures will affect the numbers of those infected, "said Health Minister Adam Vojtěch.

At today's meeting of the government, a crisis measure was also approved to address occupational health services. According to him, affidavits replacing the assessment of the medical fitness of a person applying for employment under the law on specific health services will be valid until the end of the emergency. If periodic medical examinations have not been performed during the state of emergency, the validity of medical certificates of fitness for work issued on the basis of initial medical examinations, periodic medical examinations or occupational medical emergency examinations, which expire at the time of the declared emergency, shall be extended until end of emergency.

I am old enough to get worry when some old wino with a cigarette in his hand approaches me for change. On the other eend of the spectrum is when some 5 year old without a mask short of breath almost runs me over with his scooter. Pisses me off :2 cents:

Yep, that is what I meant, we'll breathe fresh air without masks outdoors from 25th in Czechia. :))

I can't imagine Summer with facemasks when the temperature hit 30-39 degrees as it becomes normal for the last few years. It's definitely not the same feeling as high temperatures by the seaside. :uhoh

What's funny, restrictions are lifted (after 10 years) for drinking alcohol outdoors around the city center in Brno(CZ).
