Anyone who thinks they have ANY sort of privacy online is pretty naive.

I agree with you on this. Nonetheless how the government collects information can be challenged in normal lower courts of law. Information used against someone that has been obtained illegally or without warrant, has a strong chance of being dismissed/ thrown out. If this goes through, we lose even more than we have lost already.
