Are they going to the moon or Mars? If not, no.

CurrentlySober 05-26-2020 02:28 PM

Not really. I mean yeah, space will be HUGE in 50 / 100 years, and my grandkids will probably go on vacation there and stuff, but as for it directly benefiting my life, in the remaining 20 / 25 years I've got left, then it isn't really gonna mean anything to me either way.

That's just a truthful answer, and not just a snotty, 'I dont give a fuck' answer....

Im probably more excited about the next gen console launches !

I'm happy because the first time Elon Musk tried to buy a rocket from the Russians, they mocked and laughed at him.

Tomorrow, he is taking their Space Taxi business away from them.

Who's laughing now?

Looking forward to it -

Getting it on on Mars

This made me wonder whether someone has had sex in space before or not. In a plane its called the mile high club. What about in space?

Well... SpaceX is launching a space ship on the first commerical space flight to the space station....

They are going past the Ozone layer, the troposphere, the mesopehere, and past the 100 km Karman Line.... To the International Space Station which is 400 KM above the planet earth.

It is not a commercial flight; there are no passengers other than the pilots/astronauts

Lexi BongaCash 05-27-2020 12:55 AM

Well there is nothing new in going to the space, but I'm still excited

It's a commerical flight. It's either a government flight (NASA) or a commerical (SpaceX). SpaceX is a private business, which makes it commerical.

A test flight for NASA's commercial crew program. This is not a commercial flight.

Commercial aviation is the part of civil aviation (both general aviation and scheduled airline services) that involves operating aircraft for hire to transport passengers or multiple loads of cargo.

I'll certainly watch it but to be honest, I find more exiting the landing of its rocket on a floating ship than the launching itself.

Safety first ---

Pull them out of the capsule -
Let them BBQ up some wings / Potato salad and we'll see ya Saturday -- :thumbsup

Totally agree

The astronauts will be doing an oil change on the Tesla car Elon launched into space awhile back.

And turning off the left-turn blinker.

RyuLion 05-28-2020 08:11 PM

Nah, not here, I don't care about this..

NatalieK 05-30-2020 06:36 AM

a test flight blew up yesterday in Texas...

a little worrying for the manned crew waiting to launch today!

Wishing luck and yes, we´re excited! :thumbsup

Unlike gasoline cars, Tesla cars require no traditional oil changes :error

amazing to watch live, dragon now in orbit over 200 mile above the Earth and travelling at 27000 mtr per second.

Falcon x has landed safely too! :thumbsup

Rochard 05-30-2020 01:36 PM

Well, they did it! Congrats to Elon Musk!

Mr Pheer 05-30-2020 07:10 PM

Russia: "Fuckski! There went our space taxi business!"

NatalieK 05-31-2020 07:40 AM

fantastic docking of the first commercial flight to the ISS :thumbsup

what´s really amazing, 19hrs, you can be on the ISS in quicker time than you could flying from England to say Sydney Australia :2 cents:
