Mass. School Openings Requires Masks
They laid out the protocol for school in September. Grades two and up requirements are a mask on every student and teacher, desks three feet apart, lunch in classrooms, no gym class, partial days in school and partial days at home as they are now.
How a teacher can supervise students to wear masks at all times with thirty percent in class while writing on the blackboard err chalkboard and reading from a book... Can they trust the students to wear masks in the bathroom? One friend told me that she won’t send her kid to school until the virus is gone. That could literally be years from now. If I had kids in school I’d start home schooling them and probably keep doing so until graduation. Who will babysit the kids if both parents go back to work? |
Totally doubtful children fully understand the severity of Covid-19.
Very good points of interest you've brought up. |
We can't send kids back to school.
While most kids will comply with mask rules, some will not. Teachers will not be able to enforce it. It's only a matter of time before one teacher has an issue with a kid not wearing a mask, a parent finds out, and the parent says "You can't make me wear a mask" and then "You can't make my child wear a mask". And then the lawsuits will start. Sending children into classrooms... Twenty, twenty-five, thirty kids to a small room... Holy fucking shit hell no. Our local school district sent out an email saying "We will attempt to abide by all rules passed by the governor but will issue exceptions in cases where we cannot meet the conditions". The first rule was how many kids per room, so they just issued an exemption. They pretty much just turned around and issued an exemption for everything. Kids will go to school, they will catch this virus, and pass it to their families. It will take one kid in the school and suddenly dozens will be infected. Kids are germ factories to begin with. People need to start taking this seriously. One local person on FB said "I am at risk, just had open heard surgery, and I have diabetes, but.... They are traveling today from CA to TX for a "family reunion". You already know how that will go. |
Anything involving young kids and masks is going to be nearly impossible to enforce. We have to either not send he kids back (unless there is some change with the virus ramping down) or just accept that they are going to get it and bring it home.

Heaven help us if you start homeschooling your kid(s).

This is such a problem.
The media publishes way more fear based articles than not, and the result is that very few people have read the reports/studies done out of Iceland, Netherlands, Australia and the SickKids report out of Ontario + the letter from 1000+ Quebec doctors to the government there, and the amended comments by the prime Minister of Norway on schools. All report that kids DO NOT SPREAD the virus. They don't give it to adults nor each other. They only get it from other adults and when they do they don't get sick (or so rarely it's statistically nil). Kids can gather normally, the way they used to with zero risk to themselves or anyone else. So when they modify back-to-school in September with all the restrictions it's all a waste of time, and a burden on the teachers and kids who have especially felt the strain emotionally. What a mess. |

Put the kids on camp 3 weeks and let them have a corona party. For them it is like a vaccin. In Holland nobody yougger than 40 died and only 21 younger than 50.
I won't take a vaccin the coming 5 years, better stay away from me 20 meters, that is how far aerosols spread. |

They don't spread it. |
A CNA with a kid in school told me that if a kid refuses to wear a mask, they have to pick up the kids from school immediately. If she had to leave work and get her kid too many times, she’ll lose her job. The father works two hours away. Her grandmother in Newport, RI will babysit and house the kid during the week and the kid will go home on weekends. No school can be safe.
Kids aren’t spreading the virus yet but they could do so. They said that twenty and thirty year olds were safe. Now they’re spreading it after being out without a mask. I’m not taking the vaccine until years of testing are done. Swine flu vaccine killed how many people? Teachers will need several adults to supervise each class. The school budgets won’t allow for that. |

Back to normal school is what is needed and has been proven safe for everyone. |

When people are dealing in absolutes, you should always double-check the documentation |
There is a video of a woman driving a car wearing sun glasses going ape shit on those who do NOT wear masks. I cannot find it :( Can anyone who seen it and post it? :thumbsup

I don't think I will allow my kid to attend school anytime soon. It's a good thing that her school is making an online schooling program.

*** For sources see the post I made just above this one. Plus you can google the Australian study, Netherlands study, Norwegian PM's comments on schools and the letter from 1000 Quebec doctors. |

More Authoritative sources: American Academy of Pediatrics https://services.aap.org/en/pages/20...on-in-schools/ "Policy makers must also consider the mounting evidence regarding COVID-19 in children and adolescents, including the role they may play in transmission of the infection. SARS-CoV-2 appears to behave differently in children and adolescents than other common respiratory viruses, such as influenza, on which much of the current guidance regarding school closures is based. Although children and adolescents play a major role in amplifying influenza outbreaks, to date, this does not appear to be the case with SARS-CoV-2" "the AAP strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school. The importance of inperson learning is well-documented, and there is already evidence of the negative impacts on children because of school closures in the spring of 2020" |
at this stage not wearing mask is a huge risk ...According to many information children just fly the virus to the older population
|
There is no virus, and even if there was, a mask wouldn't do shit. You've been duped by fake news hype and if you're OK with unlawful "mask mandates" you are just part of the problem.

I just posted mine (in the last 3 posts above yours) showing how that isn't true, that kids don't spread it. |

My son will be basically the same. Masks and space. 2 days in school and 3 days home.
