I do.

My bikini blog is a good example. I do have some affilaite links on there, but more or less it's just pix of random bikini chicks. Bikini FanClub ? Hot chicks in bikinis!

I also just started "tech" blog not sure where I am going to go with it...

Oh Bikinis...

I started a pic gallery blog site, with "no ad/pop-ups/pop-under ever" and "quality sensual contents over quantity (bad) porn" philosophies. There is only 1 sponsor link per blog post clearly mentioned. I don't expect money now, but I would like to look at the long term, keep on developing the site, get some good traffic....etc. etc.

I ran a site like that at one point, but some of the random bikini girls I used were from a photographer who Google image searches for his content and sued me. My lawyer said it's "a thing" and a secondary source of income for photographers.

always be suspicious of the so-called get-money-quick scheme :)

Have you learned your lesson that stealing is a no-no?

Every day since about 2014...

williamsevenup 07-01-2020 11:54 AM

wondering why you wouldnt montetize at all?

i mean - passion projects are great but why lose money when you can at least make some?

Even non-profits need to generate something to stay alive -

at least cover something like hosting and annual domain costs and then go from there

Shoplifter 07-01-2020 11:58 AM

Every damn day.

Hey guys,

I started a tube site with my own content. Just slowly building some traffic on it but can't see it being monetized anytime soon. Business plan is to build it up and sell it... does that count as not monetizing it?

Site is Gay Movies Page | A collection of my favorite gay movies.

When I started my first site I just did it for fun (this was 1997), then someone emailed me and said I could make money with the site and paid me like 1k to add a pop script to the site (which he probably made back in a day). Then people paid me to add casino banners. Only then I started to find out about affiliate programs and banners etc

CurrentlySober 07-02-2020 04:16 AM

Pretty much every site back in the day, cause aside from banners, it was hard to take credit card info before ccBill / iBill etc...

Most of my first sites had a PO Box address where people sent me money for VHS delivered by mail...

If you have the traffic you can monetize - a site where you can prove the visitors are loyal but also spending will be worth much more to you than one that isn't - especially if you're considering some kind of multiplier based exit - having said that plenty of people would buy a site with tons of traffic and no monetization so they can add it themselves - you would be missing out on a higher price though.
