Further tests showed that G4 can infect humans by binding to our cells and receptors, and it can replicate quickly inside our airway cells. And though G4 holds H1N1 genes, people who have received seasonal flu vaccines won't have any immunity.
G4 already appears to have infected humans in China.

Pandemics are only set to get more frequent, there's like 700 viruses science has identified that are just one step away from jumping to humans. I'm sure once Covid is over we'll pull all the funding, go back to our filthy ways and act just as surprised when the next one hits and we're not ready again.

Attitude needs to change if we want to stay around longer as a species because the viruses are certainly changing, and its been US vs Them since day dot.

Northern Hemisphere flu comes here yearly infects millions and kills hundreds, well all except this year because the "flu" has basically been wiped out because of Covid measures.

Wash your hand more frequently, wear a mask if you feel ill with flu, hey presto millions of lives saved.

Archived Estimated Influenza Illnesses, Medical visits, Hospitalizations, and Deaths in the United States — 2017–2018 influenza season
Conclusion

CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 48.8 million illnesses, more than 22.7 million medical visits, 959,000 hospitalizations, and 79,400 deaths during the 2017–2018 influenza season. This burden was higher than any season since the 2009 pandemic and serves as a reminder of how severe seasonal influenza can be.

And that was with an available vaccin.

Everybody stay inside, a second, third, fourth wave is coming! If 50% of the people that are afraid stay inside, there will be 50% less deaths of corona/flu.
