Any Authors Here?
I’m looking for a qualified self-publishing platform. I’ve looked at SmashWords and Barnes and Noble so far. Amazon for the Kindle release also. Many of the companies seem dodgy or take a huge percentage of the sale of the book.
One company wants 90% of the book price for publication and no guarantee of sales or placement in stores. Another one will do it for free but they own the rights to the book. |
Draft2Digital
Try Draft2Digital they seem to be offering some good deals lately...

I authored a wonderful children's story. I even posted it here on GFY to invite comments and criticisms, and to hopefully receive advice on how to get it published. I got zero replies... :(
MY STORY So good luck. |
Just sell it on amazon as everyone else is doing it. No point to waste time with others which dont have traffic like amazon.

Smashwords, Draft2Digital and PublishDrive will be where you get most of your sales.
KDP traffic is good, but getting ranked on Amazon is not as simple as it used to be. Avoid XinXii, Lulu and StreetLib, theyre next to useless in terms of actual revenues. |
Use ingram spark, it will give you a broad distribution deal that you can not find anywhere else. And forget about placement in libraries, completely, it is too hard and too risky for self published authors. Concentrate on online sales. Good luck.
What is your book about? |
Thanks y’all. I’m looking at your suggestions tonight.
