I had heard about this extraordinary man, but never watched any of his material. But I did on the day he died. Which was yesterday.

His barnstorming 2006 TED talk was a masterclass on how to do it right. Make it relevant. Make it true. And above all make it funny.

I saw this one a few years back. He made a lot of good points. Schools are organized around the template of the industrial revolution. Put kids into a one size fits all factory, then move them in bulk from one place to another. Not much room for individuality as there could be.

The point he made about Gillian Lynne was bang on the money. ADHD? My arse.
