It sucks lol. Dont think any remake can beat original , even tho original sucked as well but still better then any remake so far.

The first movie version was mediocre compared to the books, so I was like why the eff remake it, but the trailer has me intrigued.

It is , as i did read the books and books are far more better, but it still had good acting cast and music.
Also, this actor look like goth emo kid, which i don't find appropriate.

The book presents such a fantastic world and story, movies will always struggle to capture its essence. Perhaps a Game of Thrones quality mini-series could come close. Regardless, any remake is likely to be better than the 1984 Lynch version. It was truly awful at the time, and only gets some kudos now because it's nostalgic.

You're right! I played "Dune II: The Battle for Arrakis".

Seems I'm the only one who haven't read the original books and knows about it only because of the Dune II PC game which I was playing in 90's...

Yes, I know it's a very popular novel. I have tried to watch the move of 1984, but found it too boring. Maybe the new one will be interesting, I don't know. Will see.

Back when I was playing the PC game it all gave me a faggish sci-fi vibe . . . perhaps this movie will prove me wrong.

Why do they always have to stick some skinny faggy guy in as a "badass"? It's like watching Angelina Jolie beat up 240lb men with her stick arms that would snap on impact..

Watching this dude, who is a good actor.. Do fight scenes in "the King" movie he was in is laughable. As if he could actually wield a sword.

I think he was much more appropriate in the Say My Name movie sticking his ass out..
