I love my mavic air 2.
Use i a lot for my building projects and the wifes gardenplans. I dont get joy from flying it, its just a flying cam for me.

Problem with these is that they tend to blow away. I already downloaded an app called UAV Forecast to check for wind speed.

My Air 2 got a 10 m/s wind resistance but the mini is a tad less at 8 m/s... but 8m/s is almost 18Mph and I dont think sane people would go out flying in that weather

I use a really old but like new DJI Phantom FC40 to piss my neighbor off. All the houses around here are in small clearings in the woods all about 20 acres apart , its amazing fun at night to fly over the 80-100' high pine trees with the lights off and land on their metal roof, makes a hell of a noise and hopefully wakes the fucker up. To this day they dont know what the fuck is banging up and down on their roof. Probably think its a raccoon ? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh :1orglaugh

My plan would be to use it in "thin" forests, basically for chases on foot. Maybe a meadow if it is NOT blowing to much. Also inside a studio for high angle static shots. Any other downfalls ??

By default, this drone didn't come with follow me option. No collision avoidance. However, new apps being introduced for follow me.

Also, Be careful about parks.
I see videos where people are getting fined where Park Rangers are tracking people down by their youtube videos. People complaining to FAA too.

Other than the practical function of drones as an actual tool.. I can't stand them or the culture that goes along with them..

I'm tired of seeing drone shots, Casey Neistat fagged that whole thing into the dirt and ruined it for everyone. Now 90% of people with drones are.. I mean I want to parachute my sack over their face?

I would only use it in a forest near our studio, NO "civilization" near by, go to max height about 100 ft or inside one of our stages....Thanks for the info.

I'm sure Casey Neistat make a lot of money doing his thing, but I really dont get the hype about him. Is it because of his fucked up face? His video relay very little usefull information.
