My Pixel 4a arrives tommorow!
Just released in the UK and been on pre-order... Anyone here got one?
|
Not yet but I'm planning to upgrade to one. Nice price for a decent phone!
|
I bought one when I switched my phone service over to googfi, then after 3 days I realized they still didn't ship it yet so I cancelled it and just downloaded the googlefi app on my old 4xl. Works like a charm.
I was looking forward to getting a slightly smaller screen but fuck it. I'll wait till this breaks. |
You fat leaky fuck, get outside and find a new hobby.
Why does your retirement sound like a grounded kid in high school? You can still make some type of positive contribution you know.. Think about all of those toilets you've never blown |
I just read that the Pixel 5 is out now here in the states. I would have gotten one if ATT offered it, but got a Samsung instead. Not real happy with the battery life though.

Its Arrived ! Now all I gotta do is wait for tonight, then tell google I am really dissapointed that it didn't arrive. I'll get pissy and demand a refund ASAP. If they say no, I'll just reverse my paypal, claiming D.N.A. (Did Not Arrive)
Thanks Google for the FREE Phone ! :upsidedow |
I'm genuinely impressed now I've set it up. For just 345 that's a hell of a phone!

OK, so I feel like I'm actually living in the future! I had heard that wireless android auto was a bit of a pain to set up, so I read the instructions for both of my vehicles, and for the android auto part itself. It basically told me that I'd have to plug it in first, then go into loads of settings (different on each vehicle) and enable this or enable that... This would make it so as I just got in the car and it was connected.
All I did was get in, with the phone in my pocket, and both units said 'Hey, you've got a new phone with you in the car... Want me to connect to it? I just said yeah, without plugging it in, and it was done. No leads for initial setup, no authorizing this or that, no messing about - Just straight into Android Auto as soon as I get in the vehicle. But if I want to plug it in to charge on a long journey I can, but I DONT HAVE TO ! Like I say, Its the FUCKING FUTURE!!! :) |

I remember the old apple adage of 'it just works' and I agree with that for apple up to a point, because it 'just works' after a small learning curve on your behalf... This though - JUST WORKS ! I almost feel that I need to change some settings or something because I haven't 'Set It Up'... But I haven't set it up. It set itself up! :thumbsup |
