How to handle this -->
So i've got this (rather micro-niche oriented) blog I update more or less since 2012, it's a nice .org domain. It runs on wordpress. I'd like to turn it into a scraper tube , but move all the current posts from root to somewhere else. I'm concerned about how to do it properly SEO wise. Are there any special things I need to do, or I can just create new WP subdirectory and import all the posts there ?
... or maybe should I leave the blog in the root and create the tube in a subdirectory ? |
301 redirect of each post to new place should do the job. Tho, google is very slow with indexing such changes, but there is nothing what can be done about it.

If you move anything in the way you describe, you are almost guaranteed to lose most or all SE traffic you have. Think carefully about what it is you're trying to do and why that would be good for your visitors.

I would register a new domain for the tube site and leave the old blog as it is.
