New to the business - do you need traffic before you can become an affiliate?
 

Hello All.

I'm new here, so any comments or feedback on my questions is appreciated.

I'm interested in starting along the road of trying to earn money as an affiliate.

As a simple start I'm thinking of trying to sign up with affiliate program(s) with some of the popular mainstream sites (ddfbusty and vickyathome for example) and then seeing if I can push some converting traffic to their website.

My questions are :

1) Do I need an established website and some worthwhile traffic before attempting to sign up with affiliate program, or is a URL owned by me enough for them to send me an affiliate link and some promotional material to get started?

2) Are the affiliate programs for the joining fees associated with "mainstream" websites like ddfbusty, vickyathome etc. a viable way to make money (as opposed to affilates for camsites like chaturbate and livejasmin?).

Any opinions are welcome.

Most programs you can just sign up and go, some will moderate signups and might ask you some questions, but not really.

Paysites can make decent, even today, but cams and dating is where everyone shifted to.

As long as you have a valid website url, you should not have a problem having your affiliate account approved. Some of them will require that you open your account under an email related to it but not many.

Honestly, no one can tell you this, because we do not know your niche, your traffic, GEOs, et cetera. Better, test things yourself.
