I currently pay $30 for 5 gigs of bw and 700mb of space. I feel like I can get a lot more cheaper. I have a mainstream blog that will be at 5gigs of bw by tomorrow for this month. It's not tons of traffic but it's not to bad. That said I'm considering on paying for an affordable monthly server.

5 GB BW and 700 MB storage? If it's what your plan includes and not just what you use, then you must be on some very outdated plan from 1996 or so. Ask your host for an upgrade or move to other host.

Any $5-$10 a month shared hosting account should be fine for that low of usage.
