my new 10.000$ house challenge

while waiting on my building permit for my adidas concrete house, I found SIP Panels...is it possible to build a house for 10K$ total?...I mean sure you can buy a shitty prefab, but can you build something nice for 10K?...I will try...will post pics of both houses when finished....the 10K house is my new hobby project i will build it 100% with my own hands

https://www.kupujemprodajem.com/grad...oglas/80630869

SIPS panels or structurally insulated panels are DIRT cheap in my country...for a 100m2 house I need approx 700 euros or 800$ for the side walls and maybe 500$ for the roof?...this is with medium thickness, if I wanted to go almost passive with no heating or cooling needed, I would need:

estimated costs:

lumber for supporting frames and light foundation= 2000$ (I am being very very generous)
sips =1500$
inner walls 1500$ (gipsum boards + foundation + paint)
outer walls 2000$ exterior panels
flooring 1500$
PVC windows and doors 1500$
roof shingles 500$
bathroom 500$ (local plumbers offer this deal)

I realize I am at 11K at the moment, but I am being extremely generous with some of my calculations...

look at these dudes pump out a house in 2 weeks!

Looks like fun (lego for adults)

Make a 'simple' (realistic) blog, step-by-step as you do it, and monetize it with ads for people who want to do the same.

Enjoy your pooject :thumbsup

Brian mike 11-22-2020 07:33 AM

That's interesting, Good luck with your new project :thumbsup

Good luck with that :)
You know what I think of your project, but I will follow your progress.

Our own building budget is currently $750.000, but it is not shaped like a Adidas logo - might be the reason :)

Cak je i skupo koliko jeftino izgleda :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Forgot you are a pimp so ''kitsch look'' is your thing

That explains everything

CurrentlySober 11-22-2020 10:37 AM

If you used poo instead of the white squirty stuff, it wood be even cheaper :2 cents:

Are you planning to install electrical wiring, outlets and lighting or sit in the dark reading books in braille?

Plus the house would smell really nice as well...:2 cents:

pimpmaster9000 11-22-2020 11:25 AM

I am going to try and build like the house in the pic below with SIPS and stay under 10,000$...no fireplace no chimney I hate that shit...the pike roof and the no ceiling are the key to the cheap building...cuts costs a lot also the panels can be made extra large so the house can go up in a week and the inner and outer walls can be clad also with panels and drywall quick...I think I can do it in 2-3 months alone...the SIPS panels come with pre drilled holes for electro wiring...its literally lego for adults...

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh- oohh man, you are in for a shock

But hey, if you manage to pull it off, you have solved the housing-problem with the 3 million refugees comming to EU each years.

When you are done, and if you succeed, I'll call UN for you

Good luck. Hopefully, the ease of building it matches your expectations. Sometimes assembling a structure as small as a garage shed can be a huge pain in the ass because the pre-drilled holes in the parts don't line up.

Ferus 11-22-2020 01:32 PM

But dont get me wrong - I am rooting for you

And now he's so smart he has made it seem as if I rubber stamped his recommendation that you build your house with poo. Of course you know I meant blog the experience. Monetize that and you'll pay for the whole thing.

No one can afford the poo anyway

if you post an architectural plan/3d render of the shed you are building for 700.000$ I will build that too just to flex on you...a 2,2x1,1 meter SIPS panel is 16$... a drywall panel is 3$...you can nail drywall directly to SIPS...from muddy field to house, I think I can do 100$/m2...thats like 10$/square foot...

the shitty video below is the best 1h of your life you will ever invest in watching...

I'm not kidding, I will sign up if you make a patreon page for it. I honestly think it would be very interesting to follow you and I deeply hope you can do it. I dont think you can, but I do wish you can prove me wrong

Not gonna show you our drawings, but the inspiration was actuelly a wooden house in sweeden. A bathhouse to be exact :1orglaugh

My wife and I fell in love with the view from inside and the functionality. We dont have any kids, so we dont care about the resell value - we just want to be able to look at the nature outside - so its giant windows facing our privat land

This is the inspiration - ours will be build in concrete and have metal-roof

If you google "Kallbadhus båstad" you can see more of it

the windows and doors in this photo are probably 10 grand alone :2 cents:

Ferus 11-23-2020 06:36 AM

Can I donate $1000 to the project, and you will have my name on your wall? on the inside and document it here on GFY?

Wiretransfer directly from my holding company - no BS and no possibility for CB's

nice...double high ceilings just how I like it...the front roof is too short...you need a porch when it is raining :2 cents:...it looks like 400-500m2 it is too big for a one man hobby project and I have a ton of shit going on...ill see how fast the 100m2 project goes first...

wrong...a 120cmx120cm opening window is 100$ and you can deduct 20% from that price because of some euro donations for energy efficiency I get 20% cash back...so 80$ for more than a square meter for moving elements...non moving elements with triple glazing is say 60$?...ok maybe 70$/m2...do the math :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh I was very very generous with my 1500$ estimate...installation is 15$/window...

it is 10grand maybe where you live...1500$ buys me like 20m2 of windows installed with triple glazing...the house in the pic has aluminium frames and I will do PVC with covering...this is the only difference...

first, my father´s a builder, second, my partner was a window fitter many years ago...

the glass at the front of the home in your picture at your price is at least 2 grand, maybe more, there´s 4mt wide and at least 4mt high, there´s 16mt2 and the 2 panels on each side, there´s another 4 to 5 mt2, and obviously the front at the top, it´s specially cut to fit angles.
so there´s your 1500 even at your prices, but in reality, the front glass alone is as I say, at least 4 or 5 grand of glass and fitments.

now the windows and double glazed doors around the side and rear, when you have finished your project without glass, then we can re-evaluate this :thumbsup

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh Dident know Natalie used to be a window fitter. Is this some kind of "step-bro Im stuck in the windows" joke?

Reminds me of the Bill Burr Michelle Obama jokes

you are wrong...I do not know anybody who fits shit but prices are what they are:

https://europvc.rs/cene-pvc-stolarije/
https://www.hram032.rs/pvc-stolarija.html
https://www.pvcprojekt.rs/pvc-stolar...rija-cene.html

1800 mm x 2100 mm 29.120 (260$)

its not 4m wide and high...that is a 220x180 the price is above...look at the chair in the pic for scale...those are fixed alu elements, they are even cheaper fixed...

I said the windows will be 1500$ and I was wrong...it will probably be around 1000$....I will use PVC with alu masking...the masking is dirt cheap...too lazy to look it up...

I am building several houses...I purchased 4 separate lots of land this year and a real estate agent that sold me one of them is co-investing in a further 5th lot with me...I have 5 houses lined up just for fun...the joke of me building a house for 10K is completely on you...I am building houses as hobby projects...how about you? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

And how much Let's say 10 - 20% of 1M = 100K - 200K income and then the tax and personal expense.

I'm looking to eventually buy a Lot and put on a modular home on a concrete foundation. Why? Because I don't want to pay 500+K for a Bungalow or 750+K for a cottage.
Also, my wife and I are sick and Tired of the stairs :1orglaugh ( 30 - 40 stairs from the basement to Room top floor of the cottage Sick of it )

@pimpmaster9000 Keep going with your project looking forward to see result :)

I know for fact, any door is near on 2 mtr high, the front angled room, from top to toe and side to side is easy 4mts x 4mtr...

it´s probably just under 5mt across that decking area, minus the chimney, you´ve got your 20mts of glass at the front and on the side of that area! :2 cents:

garrry you are drunk again...prices are what they are...the 260$ price is for 2.1x1.9m...for a moving element...a fixed eldment like in the pic is 30% cheaper...on top of that I get a 20% cashback from the EU for some green energy shit...so the real price is around half that...I know what each window size is, I showed you the price for an individual eldment...I wont pay more than 1000$ total for all the glazing...deal with it...
