Are there any affiliate Whales left?
Back before tubes the Whales ruled the game, have any of them lasted the past decade?
|
There are a few, they just don't talk about it.
|
Sounds about like what I figured.

I'd say the biggest affiliates have either: - started their own paysite/offers/programs - started a CPA network - have private/custom whitelabels - all of the above, started CPA networks with their own private whitelabels inside Even mailers are selling traffic per click now, or have long standing relationships with a 1-2 companies. If you're asking if individual free site operators are sending a ton of sales to a single program anymore... probably not. |
Yeah, your last sentence is pretty much what I was asking about.

Yup still a good number of them, but yes they are quieter these days.

I keep saying affiliates are overrated, most do not pay and many have "crashed". :thumbsup

I am the size of a small whale, yet alas not an affiliate... :(
|
What kind of monthly volume qualifies you as a whale in 2020? Specifically in the cams niche?
I remember when I started, MikeFold or Rich from Maxcash or someone used to preach that your first goal as a newbie was to get to 50K clicks per day to sponsors, and then worry about conversions... That was in the days when paysites would convert 1:500. |
how much $$$ are we talking to be considered a whale?

To me, a whale is an affiliate who generates enough business to be able to successfully negotiate private deals that pay more than what is generally offered. |

In the 90s/2000s there's been a generation of smart young entrepreneurs that managed to generate 10-20K$ monthly profits in our industry... and while some drowned themselves in an ocean of escorts, mojitos and cocaine, others thought "Mmmmh... I have some cash... how could I invest this cash wisely to make more? Oh right, I can invest in my own business, grow a team and make my own products/services". Also 10-20years ago I think our industry was easier, it was requiring less skills and competition was less organised. So you could be a solo organisation and still make a lot of money. Today, you can still do good business, but for that you need more skills, more work, and more cooperation :). |
I'm not even a guppie
