Has Covid changed your quality of life
I Wake up - and straight out of the box.. I Check my temp which is anywhere in between 97.3 to 97.7
Go about my daily business (wearing a mask) -- Friends stop on over to have a couple of cold ones. -- They feel comfy around here since for years we've pounded down many beers and took many road trips together. Now, during Covid.. I'm interested but, not interested in seeing your smart phone pix and vids for the sole reason you'll be too close to me. Now isn't this shit fucked up or what. I wont let any of them (good friends of mine too) enter my house to use the bathroom. Ya gotta piss.. go behind the garage How are you handling this |
Every morning begins with watching news in bed. After Let's Make a Deal starts I go for a walk, then I workout, and eat my Take Charge and yogurt.
No one is really open and all the new breweries have opened so no need for me to go photograph the work. I probably have more visitors now since we can't go anywhere. About once a month since September I have a craft beer can exchange. I miss hanging out with people in taprooms and I really miss my dog. |

Ya know something loyd, .. It's all the truth Nice scoot ya got .. |
I think it's changed everyone's quality of life one way or another.
Not even sure what our Christmas plans are yet because at one point we have been told we can mix etc for 5 day period, but now they are going against that advice because they know we will pay for it in January. We have been invited to my brothers for xmas dinner but as it stands we aren't sure if we are going through with that or not. New Years even doesn't bother me now. Liked it years ago and always attended a house party somewhere but the past few years i could easily just let it pass like any normal night, maybe few beers then bed. We shall see. Shops etc only opened back up here again yesterday so no doubt it will he like a zoo out there now with all the crazy women. I'm glad anything we needed has been bought online by now... |
no because its fake and gay
|
Dying from it will change your quality of life for good.
:2 cents: |
yes it did I had some personal issues with the lockdown
|
Nope. I still over eat and shit the bed...
Good Times :thumbsup |
THE GREAT RESET
Look into it as it isn't being hidden. Lots of big political figures and leaders mentioning the term 'build back better' as they are all following the agenda. What has happened is the public has been scared into something in order to push agendas. Not saying Covid isn't real but there is something much bigger going on than the 'pandemic'. |

Been a miserable year. I miss travel, and I was robbed for at least a month of last ski season.
|
It's had an impact. We haven't been able to see family and friends. We've become homebodies for sure.
My wife and I own two small businseses and both of them are shut down so we are spending A LOT of time together. |
Coronavirus has been kind to me.
I have been extoling the virtues of virtual networking for years. Now, it's the only way to network. |
Been a bitch.
Lost out on skiing last season. Lost out on a lot of income as my clients have had to tighten their purses and put off projects. Haven't gotten to hug my daughter since March. Missed weddings. Missed funerals. Missed many family events that would have normally occurred. Still, a whole lot less sacrifice then generations before me had to make. Mainly just inconveniences and having to tighten the belt some. . |
Can't go to restaurants, can't go to conventions, conferences, or exhibitions, can't really travel, everything else is the same. Now I actually miss people. Because everything is zoom, people expect you to be available all hours of the day and night.
|
We had a really bad Autumn, March and April were horrid - 6 weeks of hell to be honest - Our government took a risk but it paid off - Life is 'normal' here...
I hate that I can't go back to Europe (home?) even for emergencies - That's hard..... However, I am 'stuck' in arguably one of the world's most beautiful countries - It could be worse... |
My travel plan changed. Now in Mexico instead of Brazil. And i visited Holland for 3 months, long time ago that i was there so long. Visited friends and family there and went of to Mexico.
Now we are here didn't change that much. Can go to the beach, 10 minute walk. Sometimes eat outside a restaurant but mostly cook myself or Uber eats. Will move to a nice please at the beach in january i think. Also some friends who i normally meet in Thailand in december went of to Mexico and are here. I expect more are coming in january. Or we all go to Brazil, less Americans and Canadians who drive the price up :) Flying is not so nice with mouthmask. But when i flew from India to Amsterdam i had 5 seats for myself. And from Amsterdam to Mexico a 4 seat row for myself. I just put the blanket over my head, mouthmask off, and sleep the whole way. Holland allows their citiziens always back in and KLM is going everywhere. I just read that England also starting up direct flights between cancun and London. In Mexico there are no test, you can stay 6 months or even longer with an extension. |
I'm working from home 95% of the time and my kids are doing the remote schooling thing, so that's about it. I get to sleep later and basically do my first hour of work and meetings each day before I even roll out of bed.
Aside from that, I'm a homebody and we live about 30 minutes from the city. We're still the last zip code in the county that has not had anyone test positive for Covid. The local farms kept us stocked all summer, just like they have for the last 15 years. |
In some ways, it has helped my life. I've been a homebody for many years so this didn't bother me. What changed is instead of weekly groceries I buy food every 2 weeks and save money by cutting out things I don't need. I eat out less and in doing so I've saved a ton of money this year that allowed me to buy a new gaming laptop and a new Samsung tablet. I've started reading books again.
The only time I'm really bothered by this is when I see a ton of people not wearing masks in places I need to go cause I know that if they aren't wearing masks you know they don't social distance or wash their hands. Sales at the start of the lockdown were actually good. It's like the start of wartime. People are nervous and need comfort buys. |
Working from home for over a decade now means life hasn't changed much for me except I've lost family members and close friends this year so 2020 in general has sucked donkey balls.
Another change is these days I have a "mask budget" wtf. |

for me, ye, it changed.
all for better. as what other people do to themselves because they are stupid - I dont care about it. |
I enjoy locking myself down. I enjoy being told by a tranNY to lock down. I enjoy wearing a mask to save others in d $ d roll playing.

I've seen some of you miss family / get-togethers / Travel ...
I've served many years in the military.. which alone made me a loner.. so I'm really not all that dependent on human contact. I read some of you are travel restricted ... I like to RV.. Own a 1978 Chevy G30 4x4 van.. We pulled out the 350 and tossed in a 383 crate which pulls my 28' ATC hauler. We should be boondocking in Arizona right about now ... But obviously, we're not. Some of you are missing family ... My son is stationed out in Camp Zama Japan for the last fuckin 5 years.. we skype.. Nothing like not physically seeing your kid besides through a laptop screen ... Tension in the house ... Had it out with her earlier ... |

Hang in there! :thumbsup |
Yes it has. It made me more disciplined. We in family clean our house, make our own food and chill out in sun.
Sometimes I think Covid has made life so simple. Its our need that has made life so complicated. |
It's been highly productive for homebodies like myself haha
|
messed up my life :(
I am looking for a new job now! |
It almost did not affect me in any way, except that sometimes quarantine is intensified and my gym stops working

It's largely their fault this is as bad as it is. |
I only want to go gallivanting around town because I "cant".
Life hasn't changed too much for me. |

Was 63 here in NJ yesterday was freeking LOVING it. Not looking forward to snow. |

Not at all. The local watering hole sneaks people in the basement. Cops don’t care. It’s like a speakeasy now. |
Loved the stillness and the silence that enveloped the city during phase one . . .

Ski resorts here opened 3 weeks earlier than last season, and are operating with covid precautions versus last March when they all just closed completely. |

My 12-year-old or my granddaughter havn't gotten to enjoy being pulled behind the ATV on her sled since it hasn't snowed like that in about 4 years. That would be fun I'll admit. |
Not yet. More concerned if and when it affects the quantity of life ;)

Good time to be a divorce lawyer, lots of these people stuck at home with each other is going to get tired of each other real quick.
