White wine or red wine ?

Since i've aged red wine does not go down good. I'm all about good cheap white vino.

CaptainHowdy 12-11-2020 06:14 PM

That sounds pretty cryptic. In all honesty, I recklessly drank a pretty expensive bottle of 2015 petit verdot this week.

fuzebox 12-11-2020 06:45 PM

I drink a lot of red wine. White is nice, but it's usually daytime or summer wine for me.

Fun fact, most people cannot taste the difference between white and red wine blindfolded when they are served at the same temperature.

I bet that depends on the red and white used

EddyTheDog 12-11-2020 08:23 PM

I tend to drink white here in New Zealand - The reds are not great...

When I was in Spain it was the other way.....

RyuLion 12-11-2020 08:41 PM

If you're not paring it, it all depends on what you're in the mood of.
Have a great weekend! :)

Mr Pheer 12-11-2020 09:00 PM

I wish I could have some wine. Or a good shot of tequila. It's funny because when I could drink, I never wanted to.

Look Chang 12-11-2020 09:15 PM

Roughly, I drink red wine with meat and cheese and white wine with fish, seafood and desserts. After a good meal, I enjoy a glass of cognac. Outside meals, I drink beer but I can drink water in case of hangover ... :winkwink:

Why can't you drink now?

Biggie Smalls Web Writing 12-11-2020 10:47 PM

Red wine always. But in case its super hot outside, my choice would be cold white.

Was diagnosed with a serious liver problem four years ago. Not caused by drinking.

I should vote for myself in the dead pool, but I'm still voting for Boneprone.

Scott McD 12-12-2020 03:14 AM

Not a fan of either to be honest but if i had to choose it would be white.

Red wine just doesn't agree with me at all...

Zuzana Designs 12-12-2020 05:46 AM

I'm a Moscato and sweet wine lover

robwod 12-12-2020 06:42 AM

I quite enjoy Shiraz from the South Australia regions (Mclaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Hunter Valley, etc). You can spend a lot of money on a premium wine from there, but even their middle of the road Shiraz varietals are better (in my opinion) than any other geographic regions I've tried.

CurrentlySober 12-12-2020 07:07 AM

i cunt a4d either wine... :(

Good red wine hands down. Especially if you are older and subject to heart issues :

Quote:

Resveratrol can be isolated and purified from these biological sources or synthesized in a few steps with an overall high yield. This compound and its glucoside, the trans-polydatin piceid, have received worldwide attention for their beneficial effects on cardiovascular, inflammatory, neurodegenerative, metabolic, and age-related diseases. These health-promoting effects are particularly attractive given the prevalence of resveratrol-based nutraceuticals and the paradoxical epidemiologic observation that wine consumption is inversely correlated to the incidence of coronary heart disease.

Quote:

Resveratrol is strongly associated with red grapes and the red wine made from grapes. Wines such as Malbec, Petite Sirah, St. Laurent and Pinot Noir have the highest resveratrol content. Malbec grapes have the thickest skin, and therefore the highest content of resveratrol.
Quote:

The resveratrol in red wine comes from the skin of grapes used to make wine. Because red wine is fermented with grape skins longer than white wine, red wine contains more resveratrol.

White wine pairs well with women. Red pairs well with friends.

escorpio 12-12-2020 08:36 AM

Beer. Wine is for homos.

Deej 12-12-2020 11:38 AM

Red, white is for cooking... and women.

pornguy 12-12-2020 07:15 PM

I love red wine and have at least 1 per night. Tonight 2.5. The best thing about red is that its actually good for helping lower cholesterol. Not by much of course. Also if you drink the sweet ones or less dry then you are taking in a ton of sugar. The less sugar the Dryer it is.

Have a glass. Forget the days issues and enjoy time with family friends or the dog. what ever.

NatalieK 12-13-2020 01:58 PM

nothing like a good rioja. red or white, depends when and what with...

:2 cents:

blonda80 12-13-2020 09:42 PM

red wine, boiled with condiments and sugar only

Den BongaCash 12-14-2020 01:26 AM

Depends on the occasion, but no more than 2 glasses as it give me a massive headache.

This could not be further from the truth. Those 2 are so different it's like saying most people can't taste difference between beer and wine.
Yea, you can't if you contracted covid and lost all taste buds so you might as well be drinking water.

Who knew! Guess I will be tasting wine today with a blindfold on ;)

Sid70 12-14-2020 05:13 AM

Red. Valpolicella, Chianti or Bordeaux.

King Mark 12-14-2020 05:55 AM

I prefer to eat grapes and occasionally sip a nice vodka... like Tito's

SBJ 12-14-2020 07:26 AM

My doctor told me that one glass a day is good for me.. So I only drink one glass

White, but prefer to drink some different stuff. Wine gives me a heartburn!

Always in a mood of getting a good buz and having it go away fast. White wine is best for that. Few Glasses of some good New zealand sauvignon blanc does just that!:pimp

yuu.design 12-14-2020 11:54 AM

Red wine for me

Oh for sure. It's more like, if $20 pinot noir and pinot gris are both at room temperature or refridgerated, a lot of people cannot identify the color blindfolded.

That is interesting. I might be fooled, depending on the grape.

..and I'm with you. Much more of a red drinker, but some whites are nice in the warmer months, especially Alsatians for me.

SantaClause 12-15-2020 02:54 AM

vodka and whiskey.

Denny BongaCash 12-15-2020 04:14 AM

Depends on the food, but usually I prefer the white one :thumbsup

Klen 12-15-2020 10:13 AM

I drinked hectolitres of red wine because my friend had his own vineyard, and he needed help to take care of it lol . However, while i can drink infinite amounts of red wine, white wine is very bad for me because it's acid affect my stomach badly.

I find it's the other way around - I have a few glasses of red if things aren't "moving" the way they should...

Guinness works as well, but you have to be careful.....

Portugal does a green wine - Vinho Verde...

EDIT: Escorpio can't drink it - Women and homos only.....

escorpio 12-15-2020 11:29 AM

Careful with the Guinness, Eddy. Too much of that stuff will straighten you out!

Green is for smoke, not drink.

webguy 12-17-2020 09:21 AM

I'm not a big wine person but doesn't it depend on the meal

PSDan 12-18-2020 08:50 PM

I prefer chilled super dry white wines with fruity notes, accompanied by a strong acidic structure that recalls sharpness of citrus on the nose and palate.

Sergio 12-19-2020 02:34 AM

I mostly like red. But if I want not to become drunk quick I drink white.
