SEO Powersuite have a Christmas sale on - Is it worth getting?

Do you use SEO powersuite?

They have a sale on at the moment. I think the free trial is pretty good. Do any of you use it?

Because it's a desktop SEO tool, we don't have to pay for hundreds of servers to process your data.
Seriously?! :error

It's like finding Google say: "Because Google Search is a desktop app, we don't have to pay for hundreds of servers to process your data."

How are they supposed to be crawling sites and picking up on links without using huge server farms? Crawling the whole web is a very resource intensive operation and you need to have not hundreds but thousands of servers and shitloads of bandwidth just to be able to go thru millions and millions of websites in some reasonable time. Basically, you need to immitate Google crawlers and need to have a huge database to store all the collected data that is measured in petabytes. Real SEO tools cost like 15x the price of that at least.

Didn't mean to shatter your dreams, but did you really expect to be able to learn SEO by buying some random desktop app? Save some money on NOT buying that app and thank me later.

If you need some help with SEO feel free to hit me up.

I had it - It's very flaky and I gave up trying to get it to work properly...

Not a good experience.....

Marshal, I don't mean to be rude but I'm not that inexperienced at SEO, i've been doing it for years on my own sites. That said, some programs help to get a better understanding of how things are.
This software isn't some random desktop app (I don't think). I have been using the program for a few weeks but it's very limited. You can only do one query per session and you can't save projects.
It's actually 4 bits of software. There is a website auditor which seems ok but I don't really like stuff like this. They always tell you the same type of shit.
There is a rank tracker which seems really impressive from what I saw.
There is SEO spyglass which I love. This is great for showing backlinks. It seems to find a great deal, is fast and provides lots of additional information.
Finally, there is link assistant which is supposed to help with your link building. I don't do a lot of link building but I can see how it would be useful.

Finally, the price is nomally over £500. There is this Christmas sale and it's around £150 (ish).
I just thought it seemed ok from what I saw :thumbsup

Thanks Eddy. How long aho was it that you used it. Did you buy it at the time or where you using a a free trial or a torrent?

No ref link :(

Just compare the results of SEO spy glass with some other software and you will immediately get an idea of how much data Spy Glass is missing.

For backlink purposes, only ahref is good and everything else is more less crap.

Do one of you want to do a "live test" on a random site and we can compare results. Like I said I thought the results were pretty good compared to Moz or Ahrefs but then again I only have a free account. I'm not that rich.

SEO Powersuite

SEO Powersuite

I did it years ago and picked the good combination of various tools to get what I want and need. No need for me to change routine
