40 Girls Do Porn Victims Are Suing Pornhub for $1 Million Each

Yikes!

Forty victims of sex trafficking operation Girls Do Porn have filed a lawsuit against Mindgeek, Pornhub's parent company, for a litany of accusations, including knowingly benefiting from Girls Do Porn videos on Pornhub and failing to moderate the images circulating rampantly on its network of tube sites.

In total, the lawsuit is demanding more than $40 million in damages—at least $1 million per plaintiff—as well as the money Mindgeek earned from hosting and promoting their videos and legal fees.

good for them. I remember when this came out they said they were taking a stand and would take down all those vids on Phub yet they were still being uploaded daily

We hope the girls do well in this. The GDP scenario is a world wide problem. Forced and coerced contracts, shoots and exploitation must stop. Perfect timing for the girls as PH is already on its knees and getting kicked hard in the gonads.

Mediamix 12-15-2020 07:28 PM

I think it's good that this happend. :thumbsup Fuck that "user uploaded content" bullshit in this industry. :disgust

sirkonstantine 12-15-2020 07:51 PM

Coerced consent is not consent! The GDP guys were fucked up. Having a girl fly to their city and then saying that they'd have to pay a return flight, or something like that, to get them to do extra shit during the shoot was fucked up. Then outting their real names and personal info to shame the girls afterwards was fucked up as well. Those guys were just asking to get jailed and fined. Stupid as fuck mother fuckers.

Fuck PH/MG. Their removal of all the UGC is basically an admission of wrongdoing. I hope the plaintiffs from Girls Do Porn and others who have been wronged by PH/MG go after them for monetary damages. After they are crippled by the civil suits, the Feds can go in for the kill.

This is unfolding just as I predicted.

Quote:

Filed with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California on December 15 by attorneys Brian Holm and John O'Brien, the 43-page complaint details the suffering of these alleged victims of Girls Do Porn, and claims that each of the 40 plaintiffs became suicidal because of the harassment they endured when their videos spread non-consensually across the internet, including across Mindgeek's network of porn sites.

Girls Do Porn was a sex trafficking operation that forced and coerced dozens of women as young as 18 into sex on camera, and lied to them about where and how the videos would be distributed. The women were told by everyone involved, from cast and crew to the owner, that the videos would not appear online. After filming, their videos were uploaded to Girls Do Porn's own site, as well as Pornhub, where the Girls Do Porn monetized its videos as a Pornhub "content partner." Pornhub also promoted Girls Do Porn as a content partner even after women in Girls Do Porn videos came forward about abuse and sued it.
It looks like PH/MG executives and employees will be indicted for sex trafficking and RICO charges when the Feds go after them.

Quote:

According to the complaint, "Mindgeek knowingly benefitted from and participated in GirlsDoPorn’s sex trafficking venture by, among other things: partnering with GirlsDoPorn through its Content Partner Program and Viewshare Program; marketing, selling, and exploiting videos featuring victims of GirlsDoPorn’s sex trafficking venture; [and] earning millions of dollars in affiliate fees and premium subscriptions."

In October 2019, the FBI indicted Girls Do Porn for federal counts of sex trafficking. The owner, Michael Pratt, is on the FBI's Most Wanted list. Last month, the male performer for the videos, Andre Garcia, pled guilty to trafficking counts. Earlier this year, following a civil trial, a California state judge ordered the company's operators to pay 22 women $12.7 million for force, fraud and coercion.
The 22 plaintiffs who sued GDP has now nearly doubled to 40. With the daily media exposure PH/MG have been getting this past week, the number of plaintiffs will surely multiply.

amazing how many of these videos were updated from "mr nobody" rather than the agent or operator, this is the problem with user updating rather than a regulated tube site...

this is why PH´s new regulations will be a good change for the adult biz :2 cents:

If you take a closer look you can see that the videos for "gdp" search are 99,9% not from girls do porn. they are from excg, vivid, teensdoporn...

Only very, very few clips are slipping through.

beavr 12-16-2020 02:33 AM

Curious where does it land. Other tubes should follow I guess

I feel like a dirty old man wrought with guilt from masturbating to gdp videos on Pornhub now.

I feel as though Pornhub should buy me a Bugatti to help me to get over the stress I feel!

Crimson red with white striping please and let's get all available upgrades while you're digging around in your checkbook :)

And Google made sure their porn site came up high in search results, but they are innocent.

Tubes knew this day was coming. About time it has arrived.

I watched a few GDP videos and they didn't even seem like amateurs. Most had tramp stamps, most appeared to be doing what they probably do most weekends (bang a stranger they just met), many said at the beginning of the video that they had a boyfriend and he didn't know they were doing this (and obviously would be upset and heartbroken). All seemed happy and smiling wiping the sperm off their faces at the end.

I'm not saying they haven't been wronged or that the site owners don't deserve jail time, but it seems a touch ironic that they are aiming to get a million dollars for each bang on the basis that they were unknowingly at risk of being slut shamed.

I think Moslems have this right by NOT giving women rights to sign legal agreements, give consent etc... They should have a male guardian to do this for them. Mentally they are not on a man's level. If that was the law, none of this would have occurred. :thumbsup

Before you all go bonkers on me, the above statement is not meant seriously. It is meant as irony :2 cents:
