No more adult hosting with SharkHosting

Came from SharkHosting today, Happy New Year I guess...

Due to some recent serious violations of our Terms of Service we have been left with no alternative but to cease all Adult package offerings by the end of 31st January 2021. With immediate effect, no new orders will be accepted or processed for our Adult hosting package and will be removed from our website to prevent confusion and further orders. All existing Adult packages will also be removed from our servers by 23:59 on 31st January 2021. Therefore, those who do have an Adult package will need to relocate that Adult website elsewhere as soon as possible as we will no longer be able to host this type of content beyond 31st January 2021.

Coz why not :upsidedow

And not complaining, just sharing. What I am curious about whether it is just a beginning of something that other companies will follow, or just a sort-of free self marketing (to be forgotten in a week or so forever).

who cares ?

there a ton of small hosts that dont allow adult content been like that forever.

j3rkules 12-20-2020 11:26 AM

I never heard of them until today, honestly.

Now all of a sudden - or perhaps after someone knocked on their door with a lawyer - they've put back the adult hosting package with a new pricing. When contacted their support then noticed that they are clearly clueless about what is going on.

I am sorry, who?

Stay with those you can trust in this industry

Mojohost
M3
Vacares

LustCore 12-20-2020 04:24 PM

All of a sudden they've reverted the announcement, left their own support clueless and re-published the same package with a different pricing (existing customers are not charged in extra). Indeed this would raise a trust issue. With the Brexit since it is UK-based might worth to consider on the long run, not for serious established adult business though.

Now this just became a hilarious story:

A few days ago you may have received an email advising that we would be ending our Adult packages in January 2021. This is now NOT the case.

We can now confirm that our Adult hosting package will now continue and will not be coming to an end. Instead, the following changes have been made:

We have introduced a new billing option of £1.50 a month which you can switch to or can be chosen when ordering a new package.
The Annual price of the Adult package has now changed to £10.
The 2 yearly price is now £20 and the 3 yearly price of £30.
The above package price changes apply to all new Adult hosting accounts from now. All existing Adult packages will also be updated to reflect the new changes however, you will only be invoiced for new package price on your next renewal/due date. There is nothing to pay now.

We have been working hard all weekend to come to a new arrangement and ensure that our internal procedures and processes are updated to enable our Adult packages continue.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the shock, stress and worry this may have caused you.

They're the master of their words - they say it, they take it back :D
Thank you for recommending us @Holy Damage, we appreciate it!

Sharkhosting pfft.
Stay with them if you like but there are a bunch of reliable hosting companies that won't boot you for having adult content. Who you go for depends on what you need.

1. Mojohost - Everyone mentions this but there are many more!
2. Vacares
3. TMD Hosting - I use this one. It's really good on a shared server. The customer service is amazing.
4. Amerinoc
5. Hawkhost - I could mention many more but I think if you go with any of these you will do good.

Do they sell the shark cards for GTA online?
