i am looking to invest about $1k obviously for long term.

It's probably just another about-to-fail shitcoin that will make bags of money for it's creators and crash and burn like thousands of others have.

I cant remember any alt-coin which actually become valid except maybe etherum.

ETH had only one reason it became valid. The smart contracts, which allowed other shitcoins to be created with approximately 5 minutes of effort :1orglaugh

Ripple has some issues... and I see all prices dropping... the last period we saw a rally for many of them...

I think the thing with Ripple will also give a view of the future for Cryptos
